Great little stand
I'm a digital artist and I was looking for a stand I could use to hold up my 15 inch laptop so I could draw directly on the screen more comfortably. This stand feels sturdy and the lip is wide enough to hold my laptop even when it's folded shut as a drawing tablet. The wood pieces are thick and smooth and look/feel very appealing. The only thing I wish were different is I wish it was a little harder to collapse the stand while moving it. You can adjust the height of the stand by sticking the metal rod on the back into a wooden slot, but it's not weighted in any way and there's nothing holding the rod in place other than gravity, so you have to be careful with picking it up or setting the rod in a notch too far forward. It is if the book or device you're using is a little heavy, it may tip forward on the front most rung. In addition, if you try to pick up the stand its very easy for the slot and rod to fall away from one another and make it unstable when placing it back down, so it's a bad idea to move the stand while anything is on it unless you're being extremely careful. A minor inconvenience but it could be annoying if you've got a recipe book on there and need to move it around your kitchen or something like that. The page holders are very nice but so far I haven't had much use for them. If you're not using the page holders, there's a spot on the front to place them. It's also very easy to slip them off the surface and let them lay off to the side, but if you pick the stand up they will fall down and get in the way when you try to put the stand back down. The little rubber feet on them also slip off pretty easily while doing this. I know this is not the intended use or placement of the page holders, but I almost never use them and the stand is uncomfortable to draw on if they are placed as intended. Luckily they're easy enough to take off and put back on with a standard screwdriver, so you can take them off if you don't use them or feel they're getting in the way. While I recommend this for recipe books and standard tablet usage, if you want it to draw on something thinner than a 2 in 1 and are looking for a stand, the lip may be too wide and press uncomfortably against your arm while you draw. Also, be very careful if you plan to place a heavy book or device on it or move it around a lot during use. Otherwise it's a very nice size and feels like it's good quality. I'm very happy with it.

Will Hold Thick Textbooks Perfectly
I was looking for a way to hold my large art and anatomy reference books open and propped up while drawing or notetaking. Most are large paperbacks, some hardbound. The thick paperbacks in particular are hard to hold open with one hand, even when flat. This book stand does the job, gripping thick books firmly open and at an angle of from about 45 to 90 degrees. Of course it can hold them open flat on a desk also, simply by collapsing the stand on the back to the storage position. The key is the little arms on the front. They swivel 360 degrees and are STRONG springy steel. I don't know how long they will stay strong and springy, but they seem to be good quality. I expect them to be last indefinitely. This is a sturdy, well made, 100% wood (bamboo, I guess) stand which will fold up for easy storage like a book on the shelf or under the chair or in a desk drawer. Really nice. Two of the pictures I've attached are of a 8.5" x 11.5", 1" thick 350 page paperback of anatomy for artists by Geo. Bridgman. I took one with the book open roughly in the middle and a second almost to the end of the book with 300 heavy pages under the left arm. No Problem. The other photo is a book on J. C. Leyendecker the famous illustrator who preceded Rockwell. It is 10" x 11.5" x 1" thick hardbound. Worked fine. No damage to the pages or the spine on either book.

Best product ever!!
I got this for work but this will also come home with me on the weekends. EXCELLENT quality and is thick and sturdy. You can put anything up on this and it’ll hold up. Looks great even after putting all of my stickers on it to customize it and if I need to put it away it folds up quickly and I can put it just about anywhere I put books. I might have to get another one for home because it’s priced perfectly for the quality

Big, Heavy, Sturdy
Use this to hold a large 3-ring binder with sheet music in it. Bought it to replace a similar plastic product that broke down in about 9-months. This thing is is very large and heavy. It could easy support a massive cookbook or Harry Potter style book of spells. Be warned though, it takes up a lot of room. Even folded up, it's still big and heavy. Still trying to decide where to put it on my desk, but at least it won't break in a couple of months.

Fantastic bookstand for the kitchen
I purchased this so I could place my tablet or laptop up to read recipes or watch a video in the kitchen. This is a really nice sized bookstand. It holds my 14 inch convertible laptop without issue. Also holds my small Kindle Fire tablet and my glasses. Extremely handy in the kitchen. I haven't tried it anywhere else nor have I placed a book in it. I do have granite countertops and will say that this bookstand will skate around on you very easily. So if you are worried about that (I don't find it a major issue), you can buy some little rubber nubs from the hardware store and stick those on the bottom of the stand so it doesn't slide so easily. But I find this bookstand fantastic when trying to do something but need to have an electronic device available that you can see or read. The stand seems well made and I haven't had any issues over the last couple of weeks that I've had it. I basically keep my Kindle on one side and my phone on the other when I'm in the kitchen. Very handy, good size, and highly recommended.

Am very pleased with my Pipishell (13.4" x 9.5") bamboo book stand
07/2025 This unit works very well and has an excellent price-point. finally, I can have books orientated at a comfortable reading angle. The page holding clips make great resting points for note cards and pens. Have been using almost every day since 2023!
