When this product arrived at my doorstep, it felt like an early Christmas in July! As a beginner in electronics and robotics, I decided to dive in by investing nearly $500 in a starter kit to begin my learning journey. Upon opening the box, I was immediately impressed by the high-quality Husky Tool box, which securely housed all the components, each neatly sealed in plastic and organized within the case compartments. The kit includes numerous components, and I anticipate it will take some time to understand the function of each one. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the product. However, I would suggest that the seller include a booklet or pamphlet detailing all the components and their descriptions. Currently, the information is printed on a single letter-sized sheet in very small print, making it difficult to read. I plan to create my own component list to improve readability. Overall, excellent job, GAR. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been in the makers’ world for a while and bought this with the intent of getting my kids into some easy projects as well. This kit is absolutely loaded with sensors and all of the connection components needed to get right to building. The box had been damaged during shipment and GAR replaced it right away. Excellent kit and worth every cent.

This is an amazing kit. I found a few missing items and I emailed the company about it. Without hesitation they shipped me the missing parts right away. If you want to dip your toes into Arduino development this is the kit to buy. It is the best, most comprehensive kit you can buy. It comes with great tutorials and libraries to get you on your way. You will not be disappointed with this colossus of a kit.

The kit has a ton of parts and a lot of good e-books and other PDFs to learn from. The kit I received was missing apart so I contacted them and they e-mailed me back in about 2 minutes! And it only took a few days to arrive. So the service and the kit are great!

I found and calculated the prices of each thing on the components list, I got about 480 for everything. So I mean your money will be stretched a bit further if you need all of these components, otherwise you could even break this down to just components you specifically need, but it would be easier to just have all the components there in case you need them. You can save I guess 20 bucks ish than what you could get doing a rough search like I did for each of these components and the toolbox, could save more if you are especially sleuthing. You probably won't need everything in this kit, but it is there in case you have that quick project idea.

I have had the G&R Colossus kit for roughly a week, and have been in contact with G&R for two different reasons. The first being that some parts were missing in the bundle, and the second was that I had a hard time identifying some parts. G&R is very responsive, and have already started shipping the missing parts to me, on top of that they were very quick to identify the parts and mail me links to get a deeper understanding of them. As a bonus one of those parts they identified as a FTDI USB to serial which i used to fry the ESP8226 wifi module in the kit, which they also offered to replace, yet an other bonus is that they included some parts which was not even listed in the inventory sheet or among any of the images, some of those were an OLED screen and FTDI USB to Serial.

This is not a beginners "starter kit". It is a kit for those who are starting Arduino but has some background on the various components that comes with this kit (including soldering wires to a DC motor). The package comes with a big heavy toolbox and ended up in storage room as it requires lots of space and heavy to move around. Pros - You start this hobby with over 100 components and can choose which project to start with. - If ordering these parts will take weeks to months on your area, this kit will save some of the waiting. Cons - Most components are well wrapped in "air bubbled" plastic but not labelled and difficult to identify or which library to use . - There are no progressive tutorial for beginners to follow, and tutorials for some individual components are not available. - I didn't go thru the list of components to check what is missing as I can't name them. But I am sure I'm missing a brass stand-off for the car kit but seems I got a tiny OLED screen and an FTDI interface card that will be handy on soon. The highlight of this kit is maybe the robot car but based on the photo they provided, it is a difficult setup. Searching for some video tutorial to assemble this car kit, only a few videos showing 2x L298 motor driver on a car kit assembly. This setup requires at least 9v or 2x 18650 battery to power the 2 motor drivers. The 9v battery adapter need to DIY to connect to the motor drivers. My step up/down buck/boost regulated power supply worked only for 1 L298 motor driver. After a couple of weekends, got it to work on UNO card but have to transfer the setup to the MEGA Sensor shield as it used all UNO digital pins. Overall, love this kit but too bad for the toolbox as that could have been a few robot arms parts.

I'm very happy with this kit. It contains so many main pieces: microcontroller (3-4 Arduino compatible boards, ESP32, ESP8266), shields, sensors, etc, and all of them are very well packaged in a beautiful and well organized toolbox. Their reponses related to some missing pieces was very quick (thanks Amir) and it took only some additional days to have them delivered to me. I'm very satisfied with all of it and I'm now looking forward to play with it. Je suis très content de m'être procuré ce kit. Il contient beaucoup de pièces maîtresses dont plusieurs microcontrôleurs (3-4 Arduino compatible, ESP32, ESP8266), shields, capteurs, etc. Et tout est bien organisé et emballé dans un impressionnant coffre à outils. Le service à la clientèle est excellent. Les quelques pièces manquantes m'ont été livrées rapidement et sans aucun problème (merci Amir). Je suis très satisfait de mon achat et ai maintenant bien hâte de m'amuser avec tout ça.
