3 Ton Ratchet Puller With 35' Of 5/16" Amsteel Blue

This is without a doubt a 5 star product. The most heavy duty and well built come along I have ever owned or used. Rugged, durable, serviceable and made in the USA. This is a Wyeth-Scott product although it is sold by 3rd party retailers online. All the parts and accessories are available on the Wyeth-Scott website if you ever need them. One thing I didn't see when looking at other reviews is a comparison of exactly how big this product actually is, so I have provided a pic of it next to one of the cheap foreign made box store pullers for reference. Also, people have complained about the paint and the reason for that is stated right on the company website. This isn't a finished paint job meant to look pretty. It is simply dipped in a bucket of paint and pulled out. So expect it to chip off and stick to stuff as it is being used. In fact, I had to work the latches back and forth a few times to get some of the paint off the springs. It should be pulled out and tested and greased before using anyway to make sure it is functioning proper. You can see the grease I used in some of my pics. It was just white lithium grease in a spray can which is one of the options specified in the instructions it came with. Also, there was another review with a plastic tool box in it that has since been discontinued by the seller on Amazon. At least it was back in March 2023 when I ordered this. So I found another tool box that fits this perfectly. It is a Craftsman brand with metal latches and place for a lock. It also has storage trays in the lid for small parts like extra cotter pins and stuff that you may need. The part number is CMST20901 and the manufacturer is Craftsman. It is a 20" tool box and I included pictures of it if you want to check it out. It seems to be working well for me and the price was right. Overall very satisfied with this purchase and it expect it to last for years of hard work.

Excellent product. I keep mine in a heavy tool bag with shackles in the back of a truck. It’s there if needed off pavement in addition to other things. Recommend the Amsteel Blue, good reach, plenty of strength. Had the steel cable version in the past. It works well too but the Amsteel is lighter and easier to work with. This of course has many uses beyond a vehicle and consider it an excellent tool.

Seems to be new and feels extremely solid. The hinges feel solid and tight. I think they could have done better with the paint job, but that's just nit picking. Well worth the price when considering what it will do.Worked for many years as a Jry Electric Lineman with chain + strap hoists + this is what I need for getting vehicles unstuck,loading heavy objects on trailers + other projects that would require many bodies to move.Price does not mean anything when you need a tool to match the task!

Arrived on time. Everything as expected. Havent used it yet but robust construction and looks to be ideal for manual winching. Easy weight to carry and well designed.

Heavy duty works wonders

Worth every penny for winching projects. Don't waste your money on cheaper steel cable come along winches. Can always purchase snatch blocks and more amsteel rope for more mechanical advantage.

It is a heavy duty well built that delivers as advertised. I have used it several times and it works well. In hindsight, I should have went with an electric winch. The length of the rope on this thing really limits it usefulness, especially if you're needing the extra power from a snatch block. It is a pain in the ass to wind and unwind, which is usually being done in the worst conditions (i.e. mud, rain, snow ect). At this price point, I wish I had bought an electric winch (which is what I'm looking at now a year later)
