Can I use this as a main breaker?

This is not a main breaker. So no you can not use this as a main.

Does anyone know what the difference between a thqp breaker and a thql breaker? can a thql breaker be used in a thqp panel?

thqp is a thin breaker. thql is a thick breaker. They both fit in the same panel. If you have room for a thick breaker then you can use thick or thin breaker.

The description states: made in usa, manufactured in china. what does that mean?

My best guess would be that some or all of the parts were manufactured in China and the product was assembled in the United States. However, to be certain, I suggest contacting the seller of the item for a definite answer. I hope this helps.
