Is there a downside to buying the insulated ones over the non insulated ones? It's only a 5 dollar difference so I may as well get the insulated ones

Knipex makes the best pliers of any configuration or purpose in the world. I would not see the reason to get the comfort grip or regular grips for a pair of lineman's pliers, especially considering the price difference. If your intended purpose is electrical work, this feature can save your life. Is your life worth $5?

No. And Knipex does not make a linemans with strippers.

I just bought the 09 02 240 for the exact same price as these...do mine have any advantage, or should I have bought these instead?

The 09 02 240 are not rated for high voltage 09 08 240 are rated for 1000v and have thicker handles
