I was trying to come up with a special 50th anniversary gift for my husband, who doesn’t really wear much jewelry, and found this compass. I am impressed with the engraving; it’s very clear and nicely done. I was worried that it was going to look cheesy, but that isn’t the case at all. The compass also arrived very quickly, which also made me worry that it wasn’t going to be up to par, but again was proven wrong. Wow! The compass is high quality, the engraving is immaculate and very legible; precisely as I ordered. The leather case is perfect for protecting the compass and has a loop for attaching to a belt. All I can say is that I am very impressed. Very nice quality. I opted to purchase the wood box with it and I'm glad I did! It shipped so much faster than expected. I received 5 whole days earlier than originally promised. I'm so happy about that because I feared it would arrive just a few days too late. It is a gift to my husband for our 18th anniversary. I can't wait to give it to him. I know he'll love it! He's been traveling for work, so this is the perfect gift after our first time being apart for so long!

The compass itself is very detailed, has a good weight to it, and works well. Overall very good quality for a gift item. The engravings I selected turned out equally well. Overall I am very pleased with both aspects and would recommend this to anyone.
