This is a well made sink drain in chrome and the finish is very nice! The pop up head is a bit on the large size but it works well. It is super easy to clean out. I installed two of these in our master bathroom and have this same unit in our guest bathroom. It is very easy to install, but I HIGHLY recommend you use plumbers putty and throw away the silicone gasket that comes with it. I am a highly skilled handyman by trade and know what works and what doesn't.

It's all metal and easy to install; perfect fit and color match to the black finish sinks I have. The large mushroom at the top doesn't seal anything. It's just a button to operate the seal below it. What's really nice, is that you can easily remove the upper assembly to clean out the basket. To install, you can use plumber's putty if you like (just remove the upper seal). I was concerned that the lower gasket might not seal perfectly against the threads, but it works fine.

I want to say thank you for everyone that took a time to answer my question and also the seller/brand (not sure if it was KES, but it think they did it). I got it and I can't say that it matched what I desired and needed. The fit was perfect, I was even able to install it with my bare hands and NO LEAKING!!!!!! It worked so nice, the black finish was just as I imagine it... The hair catcher worked just fine. My question was about what trap to use and after many reviews and digging, I ended up using this one. This drain and strainer appear well made and durable. The installation is quite easy, however, you may find the push button inoperable in certain sink configurations. I'll explain. If your sink has a pronounced depression for the drain hole, it is likely the new push button will not be able to be depressed enough to be able to lock and unlock without taking the entire assembly out (which is a design feature of this drain, but only to clean the strainer, not to operate the push button.) This may only be a minor inconvenience for some, but when you are buying this to operate as a one handed push button, do you really want to pull the the thing out of the drain, operate the push button and then place it back in? Yes, that will work, and it's not difficult, but it keeps this from being a 5 star review. I bought two of these for Kohler sinks with fairly deep depressions for the drain holes. As I said, these are quite easy to install, thankfully because there are barely any directions. Once it was installed, I tried to operate the push button and nope, I could not push the button down far enough to activate the clicking mechanism, and I immediately saw the reason, as I explained above. The outer edge of the drain cap hit the raised sides of the sink drain, and could not be pressed down far enough to "click". Being a consummate do-it-yourself-er however, I was not going to give up and send these back without at least trying to make them work. And I found two techniques while doing so, since I bought two of these, which both worked. The first sink, since it was already installed, got the "screw the strainer basket back (down) as far as it can go to increase the overall length of the assembly enough to make it work" technique. This in fact increased the length of the assembly by about a 1/8 of an inch. I did also take the strainer basket off the assembly entirely and "bent" the threads of the strainer ever so slightly so the fit would be tight, and not come loose over time. I'd say this is probably a good thing to do, even if you choose the second technique as well. The second technique was to replace the supplied (fairly thin) silicon top gasket with the bottom gasket from the old drain. In my case it just happened to be a perfect fit, and the much greater thickness, raised the entire drain assembly high enough in the drain hole to reduce the "depression" effect of the sink hole. My guess is you can get something suitable at the (unnamed) hardware store of your liking, in your town. If your sink is more flat at the drain hole, you will likely have no issues at all, and you will find this a 5 star item. Overall the new drains look very nice and modern. It has the obvious benefit of removing the sink stopper mechanism from the inside of the down drain that naturally catches hair and grime and eventually gets plugged up and is #1 reason plumbers get called to clear a stopped-up drain for those not comfortable taking the drain apart and cleaning it out every so often. The strainer basket seems rather constrictive and could possibly get clogged even faster than the traditional drain stopper, but since it only requires pulling it out of the drain and dumping the contents into a trash can and rinsing it off, I'd say those plumber callers mentioned above will be happy with how easy that is. Lastly, my wife loved it and how it looked, so big win for me, and I'm glad I didn't let a minor design flaw stop me. oh, iGanja!

Fit & finish is perfect. Beautifully made product. Wonderful update for our old & tired drains. Very easy to replace. The hard work is to remove the old drains. No leaks with included rubber washers. Amazing product.

I installed three of these in our bathroom sinks, two with overflows in built-in porcelain lav sinks, and one without overflow in a countertop glass bowl sink, all with ease and great success. PROS - System is all-brass, no plastic involved. - Fit and finish are excellent. - Everything needed was included in the box, even an additional gasket for alternate-sized trap pipes. - The brass locknut is nearly 2" tall, making it particularly easy to grip and deal with while wrestling inside a cabinet. - The pop-up drains these replaced anchored the spring-loaded pop-up stems to rigid members inside the drain bodies making removal, repair and cleaning difficult. Here, the stopper mechanism is a unit that easily lifts out for cleaning and/or repair. - The stopper mechanism has a built-in hair trap. In a house with a wife and daughter, I have had to remove enough hair from drains to build my own creature, tedious and messy jobs. Here, you need only lift the pop-up out and the hair trap comes with it, making clearing quick and easy. CONS - I haven't encountered one thus far. Side note: These units come with two silicone gaskets, one to go above the sink surface and one below. I have always preferred to use plumber's putty around the drain inside the bowl rather than a gasket to assure a tight seal and to make for a more flush fit. That also minimizes any ridge around the drain that might trap water and dirt. Interestingly, the enclosed product instructions recommends substituting plumber's putty for that upper silicone gasket in the event of leaks (putty not included with the product).

Price was good, easy to install, look good and the sink drains quickly.

Wir haben vor kurzem ein neues Bad bekommen, und wollten unser schönes Natursteinwaschbecken behalten. Leider passte die alte Ablaufgarnitur nicht mehr, wegen einer dickeren Platte am neuen Waschtisch. Das late Gewinde war zu kurz, um noch ein Verbindungsrohr in den Siphon anzuschrauben. Dieses Teil mit dem festen Rohr machte es überflüssig. Der Siphon kann direkt angeflanscht werden.

Bei Montage mit Dichtband arbeiten, dann alles bestens, einfach klasse dicht und gute Reinigung, danke

Nachdem meine letzte Billiggarnitur in Nullkommanix weggegammelt ist, war ich im Zweifel, ob ich dieses Mal mehr ausgeben möchte. Aufgrund guter Rezensionen und vor allem wegen des integrierten Fangkörbchens habe ich mich für dieses Produkt entschieden. Es macht erst einmal einen guten Eindruck, Lieferung kam dank Prime sehr prompt. Ob es langlebiger ist, kann ich natürlich nicht sagen, aber empfehlen möchte ich es in jedem Fall: +gute Verarbeitung +Fallrohr integriert +Messingmuffe +einfache Installation, werkzeuglos möglich +kleine Rolle Teflonband gratis ++das Fangkörbchen Wers möchte, kann eine dreimonatige Garantieverlängerung bekommen, durch Produktregustrierung. Ich bin erstmal zufrieden mit meinem Kauf.
