Perfect replacement chain
I installed this chain on my 7-speed fat-tire ebike. It was exactly as described and the identical length of the old chain. The quick link was quite challenging to install, but my persistence paid off. I'm pleased with this product!

Great for my e-bike
I just installed this chain on my Mongoose Colton mountain bike and I have to say it shifts so smoothly this is the best chain I've had in a long time I have an e-bike conversion and was having a lot of issues with other chance and this one worked out perfectly I highly recommend

Almost the perfect chain
I love Shimano products, and I love this chain. They resist stretching (ebike), they don't rust up. They just work. The only con is the stupid quick link. I never use theirs. I usually use a HJC quick link. It fits fine. The Shimano ones are just too hard to put on there. Otherwise it would be a 5.

Lasted me a year
Lasted me about a year, worked great. The quick link did eventually break on me though.

Revived a 29 year old mountain bike / converted e-bike
Pretty easy to replace, though I had a little bit of problems with the quick snap. Bottom line - it made my 29 year old Mountain bike converted e-bike much more responsive from a pedaling perspective. I know i said e-bike but it did help the performance. You likely will need a chain tool to remove your old chain and cut the new one to the right size, but if you're doing this repair you probably know that already.

Good quality replacement.
My wife's bycicle, 18 speed (6 gears on rear , 3 on front) had previously been had been having noisy/chicking shifts on the rear and less than a year prior replaced the chain with a cheap ($12) one, that cleared the problem for about 8 months. The problem came back, I thought maybe the gears are worn, the bicycle is 25 yrs old, but as soon as I replaced the chain with this one, the gear shifting became smooth again. Will report how long this one lasts. 12/21/2023 Still running smoothly .

I wax my chain and use it on a regular bike. Threw away th ug-51. It is only good for one use.
I replaced my sis gears with the average gears and chain with a KMC 6/7/8 master link and the shifting is now phenomenal as is the master link close fit for waxing.

Works on 8 speed cassette nice quality included quick release link for maintenance. Old chain was badly worn so well overdue

New chain doing double the work , on our tandem.
Top quality and easy to install. Drivetrain on our tandem, was super quiet and shifted like a dream .

Shimano usual quality
Worn chain so replaced this time Shimano instead of the usual KMC, have to say prefer the quick link of the KMC the Shimano one feels weak! Meshes fine no adjustment nice and quiet and smooth, remove the grease first then apply lube of your choice.

Great ebike chain just not long enough.
Good chain and runs quiet. However at 116 links it was too short. I needed to scramble and find another chain for my ebike just for 6" or so.
