PAC LP3-2 L.O.C. PRO Series 2-Channel Line Output Converter

I have a nice system with a sub I love, but it only has line level input and I couldn’t deliver a line lelel out from my home theater receiver in pure analog mode for vinyl listening. Makes a huge difference because if you don’t use pure direct mode the receiver will digitize your analog signal for EQ and crossover purposes, this killing the analog signal path and removing the mojo. This works from speaker B output so I can go pure direct, and fill in the bottom with my best sub with signal from speaker B (all analog). Also, i hear no extraneous noise and it sounds great for the sub. Have not tested for full range.

I bought this unit to facilitate adding a line-level output onto our LeGrand OnQ Digital whole-house audio system. The individual keypad amplifiers for each room are of the non-common ground type and only have speaker level outputs (no aux or line level outputs). One must be careful using devices like this on non-common ground amps. Some designs use only a very simple circuit employing only resistors and can cause damage to amplifiers of that type. I took the over off this unit when I received it and was pleased to find that it uses transformer-coupled circuits, which is the correct method for non-common ground amps. It works perfectly and does exactly what I wanted. I'm using this device to drive an auxilliary 4-channel headphone amplifier in my music room. Now my musician friends and I can don headphones and play along with whatever music is being played over our home audio system, and actually hear both ourselves and the music. Perfect for what I wanted to accomplish.

It works. It also brings in some hum. It might be caused by the really old vintage receiver I'm using that causes it in combination with the convertor, but this unit provides a ground wire which when I connect it to the fm ground on the back of the receiver, it really cuts down on the hum. So I'm pretty pleased.

Awesome Purchase

I used on speaker outputs on a vintage receiver for proper connectivity with a subwoofer that contains one pair of RCA inputs. Fast shipping. Overall great product, it even included a tiny screwdriver for setting voltage on the unit!

I bought this to hook up a subwoofer with RCA jacks to wire connection on an old school Sansui amplifier. Works as intended.

Works great!!! Way better than the slightly cheaper version...if you are diy installer use this and don’t forget the OFC wire for your amp/speakers

Installed this on my IS250 with a Stinger 10” sub and 700.1 amp—bass was super weak. Swapped to a 1000.1 amp, still no real improvement. The PAC LP3-2 clearly bottlenecks the system. Switched to an AudioControl LC2i and immediately got better results. Skip this LOC!

I bought it because i thought it was reasonably priced. The quality is decent and the unit works as described. I have had this for about 6 months now and no issues.

I wired the unit correctly, but was getting no voltage at all from the RCA/PHONO side. Faulty unit.

Works with my denon receiver's surround speaker outs to an SVS wireless soundpath for wireless surround speakers. Pretty much noise-free. As other reviewers said, cables are a bit thin, but works for the most part.

Looks well made , wires are a little thin . It gave me line outs for my surround channels on the x1700 AVR (no preamp outs) which I feed into a wireless McClellan TX to avoid running wires to the back of the room Works great

Used this to tap into speaker wire even tho my amp can take a high level signal, I recommend going this route instead. Sounds great and zero static or hum, buy it!
