Kicker 46KISLOC2 K-Series Stereo Line-Output Converter w/Remote Turn-On Output

I used the Kicker 46KISLOC2 K-Series line output converter to add a pair of subwoofers to my Kia Forte, and it worked exactly as I hoped. It made it easy to tap into the rear door speaker wires without having to remove or replace the factory head unit, which saved a lot of time and hassle. The connections were straightforward, and the finished install looked clean and professional. The sound quality is excellent, with a strong, clean signal going to my amplifier and no issues during installation. If you’re adding an amp and subwoofers to a vehicle with a factory stereo, this is a great solution. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to keep the factory head unit while achieving a clean, professional-looking install.

I used this on my Hammond L100 Tonewheel organ so I can pump audio out into a larger speaker. Works well and was easy to setup.

Awesome product. Didn’t have to replace the factory head unit in my 2012 Prius V with an aftermarket one just to hook up an amp and subs. Was able to tap into the rear speaker wires that power the rear door speakers by removing the plastic trim between the front and rear doors and run speaker wire from there under the trim to the rear cargo area. This comes with a remote turn on wire too. Works great. Just bec sure to turn your amp gain to minimum first before testing the subs. The signal out of the LOC seems stronger than aftermarket head RCA outputs. Had to turn my gain almost to the lowest setting to prevent clipping. Running a couple 8” Pioner subs with built in mids and highs with the 4 factory speakers off a Centuion 2x100 amp. Set my amp to pass all frequencies and it sounds good.

No issues so far so will see how it does in the long run

I ordered this to install an aftermarket amp and subwoofers in my 2011 Hyundai Genesis sedan and it worked really well. One of the biggest qualms I had with other LOCs is that they require they’re own 12v+ signal to turn on which means I’d have to take my back seats apart to run a power wire to the fuse box at the front of the car. Just a lot of work for just a singular wire since literally everything else would’ve been confined to the trunk. That’s not a problem with this one since it uses the input signal from the speaker wires to turn on. I will say on account of that, that it might not work for everyone. From what I’ve been made aware of, some newer cars have their infotainment-type sound systems so intertwined with the body controls for various settings like how the doors auto lock and unlock and other stuff like that, that they may always be putting out a light signal just enough to trigger the turn on which would leave your amp on while your cars sitting turned off. Just what I’ve heard though, and may be wrong. So far, I’m getting a great signal to my amp from this LOC and my system sounds just as great as it has in my other vehicles. About the only thing I’m not a fan of is I’m getting some pop during turn on sometimes. May just be something I have to either learn to live with it possibly just something on my end that I need to adjust. TL;DR - works great for me and allowed me to get some extra bass in a car that has no relatively easy options for aftermarket head units.

Easy to install and produces quality sound

The wiring took a bit of patience, but the connections made sense once I laid everything out. I tapped the speaker wires for the input, then ran the RCA outputs to the amp. The remote turn-on output saved me from hunting for a separate switched wire, which made the install simpler. I checked the connections, started the stereo, and got music through the amp without any fuss.

I bought this when I upgraded my car audio system, mainly to connect the amplifier signal; I didn't want to make major wiring changes. After receiving it, I used the original car head unit's wiring harness and then connected the amplifier. What made it most convenient was its remote power-on port; I only needed to press a button on the car head unit to start the amplifier. The sound is also much more stable than when I was haphazardly connecting it before. 😌🔧

... war für 10 Minuten schwer enttäuscht, dann bemerkte ich das Remote (blaues Kabel) nur schaltet wenn das schwarze Kabel (Masse) nicht angeschlossen wird. Funktioniert ohne Masse perfekt, der Sub wird korrekt über Remote ein und ausgeschaltet und die Signale kommen sauber am aktivieren Sub an.
