The GenTent was easy to assemble and fit my Westinghouse WGen10500TFc. QR Code Instructions included with the GenTent took me to video instructions for each step of the installation. We have not had to use the generator since installing so it has not been tested in use during a storm yet but it appears to be sturdy, well designed, and well made so I have not doubt that it will function properly.

This was a lifesaver during an ice storm! Great links to the how to videos made it easy to assemble. Heavy duty fabric takes a beating.

I've been thinking about getting a cover for my portable generator for some time, to allow me to run the generator while it is raining. Doing some research online, this company stood out as a great quality. After ordering I promptly received a message from the seller to confirm my generator model to ensure I purchased the correct one. After confirming it was correct, they offered to take a look at photos to verify it was installed properly. Installation was simple, took less than 10 minutes. The instructions were clear, detailed and had pictures to verify it was done correctly. Since I have not had the opportunity to test it yet, I cannot provide feedback on that. However, the material feels very durable and I would not expect water to get through. There is also a detachable flap to cover the outlets and an opening to refuel without having to take the canopy off. I'll update the post after I get some time using it.

This cover is very sturdy. The hood is tougher than I thought it would be. It's "relatively" easy to assemble - the only issue is that it's made well and the tolerances are tight. I don't think it'll blow off, which is good. I'll be putting it on the generator in the garage with the door closed before I roll it out into the weather and start it up.

Recently had a severe ice storm. The GenTent did a great job protecting my generator while the power to my home was out for 4 days. Highly recommend the GenTent.

This is excellent, made of durable materials, 100% waterproof, assembles in minutes. We live on the east coast and get slammed with bad storms, this makes running your generator safe and effective. I have a Generac 7500 and it fit perfectly, no alterations needed to anything, just place the clamps and your ready to go, total install time might have been 15 minutes start to finish. AAA rating for this, wish I had gotten it sooner. The set up also comes with square frame adaptors so will work on square frame generators as well, I have seen complaints about people needing to drill holes for square frames, if so that would be a minor inconvenience if you know what you are doing and would only add a few more minutes to the install provided you own the right tools ie; a drill with bits. At the end of the day this is a perfect running cover and will serve you well.

I was looking for an alternate to the yellow Champion cover and found the black GenTent for a lower price. Assembly was straightforward and easy. Noticed many complaints about instructions in the reviews, but there is plenty of information, pictures and videos online for this. I found the included instructions adequate. Pricing may be a bit on the high side, but this is a specialty product, designed to keep your generator dry while respecting airflow, carbon monoxide sensing and ease of refueling without removing the cover. The clamps could possibly be a bit more robust but not enough to knock a star off. If they are installed per the instructions at the right spot and angle, they should last. Just take care not to overtighten the clamp bolts. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and would recommend it.

It was easy to install and appeared that it would be strong enough. In two weeks we had two major storms. High winds both times gusting to over 100km. The first storm it held up fine, the second storm the next week the winds were even stronger. It did not hold up and it was totally ripped off the generator and is probably somewhere in the Atlantic. We live in Nova Scotia and are on the coast we’re the winds can get strong. I contacted their customer support and spoke to Brian and I explained to him what had happened. He assured me it was covered under their warranty and they were sending a full replacement the next day. Within a week the new one arrived and I was able to install it. Since then we have had a few big snow storms but have not lost power so we have not had the chance to use try out the new GenTent. I must say in this day and age when companies are quick to take your money but not so quick to resolve problems, it is refreshing to have a company stand behind their product.

I'll give it 4 stars because it certainly does what it advertises. We've had a couple of storms this winter with close to 100km/hr winds and the GenTent has stayed in place. Despite that, I do think it's WAY overpriced for a piece of vinyl and some plastic framing. At that price it should at least come with the optional skirt already included, but I had to buy that separate.
