Generally speaking all HDMI switches will provide adequate quality provide decent cables are used. But I've found that they don't last very long. This one is priced somewhere in the mid to high point but so far it has been working fine to allow me to switch between different devices. The outer casing is metallic and the weight gives it a feeling of quality. However, time will tell if this lasts. It does require a power supply (everything is provided). Without it, devices will black out frequently. I bought this this Switch because I have only one 4 metre cable running from my wall-hung TV, and don't want to keep plugging the cable in and out of different devices manually. So, I have the unused devices switched off until needed. But when they are turned on, the switching works fine with the remote or the button on the box. It has a very bright red light at the front which is fine for me. Finally all the cables attach to the back so nothing to attach on the side of front which is good design. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars It works well, you’ll need your own 5v 1A USB power supply though so factor the cost in. *by H***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 January 2021* Works well but things to bear in mind:1. You will need to supply a 5v USB power supply that can deliver 1A. My unit would not work at 4K 60fps without one.2. The led lights on the case are ridiculously bright and distracting and make it very unlikely you will place it anywhere visible, which means that you won’t have line of sight for the remote either which is therefore superfluous. Fortunately the auto switching worked seamlessly for me so hiding the unit out of sight wasn’t a problem.3. It works.
