desertcart.com: Crash into Me: 9781416998273: Borris, Albert: Books Review: Amazing book - I read this book because I wanted to see if I should add it to my high school library. I've been suicidal most of my life, so I wanted to see if it the author got it right, and he did. The writing is beautiful (and unlike Hunger Games, it has only *one* typo, so it's even copy-edited well). I frequently skip to the end of a book to find out what happens, but I didn't feel compelled to do that here. Read it, review it--I'm sure many of you are more eloquent than I am. I'm grateful to have a young adult novel that I can recommend to students who either don't understand why someone would be suicidal or are suicidal themselves. Review: Great read. - Wonderful, wonderful book. I won't get into details so as to avoid spoiling the book for anyone, but it's absolutely wonderful and worth reading. It deals with some tough subjects, but addresses them in a way that one would imagine someone the age of the characters would.

Gripping and inspiring
The plot is simple: four teenagers take a roadtrip with a planned group suicide at the end. The characters are not simple. They are deep, and real, and beautiful, and I cried so hard at certain points of the story that I had to close the book momentarily. This is a gem of a story, one I'd want to give to anyone in an existential crisis.

Crash in me
When I first saw this book it looked amazing! Such an original idea! Unfortunately the more i read the less I liked it. The story line is good, but the book just wasn't able to capture my attention.

I enjoyed this. I would recommend this for the 13-18 age range. I related easily to the characters and enjoyed the twist ending.

Great Novel
This novel is very well written and engaging as you follow a teen on his suicide pact journey. Twists and turns throughout. Couldn't put it down.

Good Book (Serious)
4.5 stars, I seriously think this book is for people of today more than 2009. This is a very Triggering book of suicide, 4 kids who are just misunderstood and to me are just selfish in their own way. Oh, woe is me kind of thing. 4 teenagers just trying to as everyone has and is figuring out where they fit into the world. I believe the best thing was them going on a road trip & even though it started out morbid it turned out fun and adventurous. Owen who had some real trauma, suppressed what he had experienced as a kid coming face to face with the truth on the last of the road trip. The rest were just whiney.... I pray that anyone who has thoughts of ending it, please search within yourself and find that you are cared about and that nothing and I mean nothing on the face of this earth is worth going out of, find anything, to know you are enough or just try something new to get your mind off what the devil is telling you which are lies. Fight with all your heart, know speaking to the right person even a stranger would be better than suffering in silence. This book could have ended in so many different ways, but I feel it was a great ending and 4 kids found out what life meant and that was even though you go through things, it does not mean you have to give up.... know friends can help you through it.
