He said he was surprised how much material it covered and felt prepared when he started Algebra II. Review: Great for Refreshing and Practicing Algebra Skills - I picked this up to help my child strengthen their algebra foundation, and it’s been extremely helpful. The explanations are clear and easy to follow, and the step-by-step examples make even tricky topics like linear equations and functions easier to grasp. It includes a ton of practice problems, and I like that it’s aligned with school standards. Perfect for extra practice at home or test prep.

Good review but be aware the answer key has many mistakes.
Overall good for review. I searched online for an errata but didn't find one. There are quite a few mistakes in the answer key so be aware of that.

Extremely thorough, with a caveat
This literally teaches everything you will need to know for Algebra 1 and provides lots of practice problems. Think of it as a condensed classroom textbook without all the fluff and graphics. It's very to the point. The only issue is the occasional wrong answers in the answer key. If something seems off, double check it using an app like Wolfram Alpha. A vast majority of the answers are correct, though.

Good, but there's errors
Good for reviewing everything I didn't remember from years ago, but there's problems with this book. There needs to be more examples to cover each topic, some problems they give you involve things they didn't really show how to do. And why? Why can they not keep straight whether squaring a negative number equals a negative number or a positive one? Early in the book they say squaring a negative number gives you a negative number. So -5 squared is -25. But MANY answers have them saying a negative number squared is a positive number. So which one is it? My calculator says -5 squared is -25, other places I've looked also say it would be -25; but the book often says it would be 25. This book needs to be reprinted after a serious and VERY thorough review.

Mistake in 14.2
Great book with concise instructions and enough practice questions without being repetitive. However, there's a mistake on 14.2 number 5. I wanted to post in case it comes up for someone else. It wants to mix it up with a word problem and gives a triangle's area in ax^2 + abx + b^2 and a base as x + b, (I forget the actual numbers) but it leaves off in the answers that the height needs to be the quotient times two because a triangle area is 1/2bh.
