Taste great, take a long time to make it to the US
Ordered 12/19/2020, Arrived 2/22/2021. Per Austrian Post tracking, had a ~6week stay somewhere between the airport in Vienna and the US post office. Worth every dollar / Euro, and the wait! These taste SO MUCH BETTER than the cheap Reber version. Even though it took a while to get here and the box was kind of beaten up (well taped together), the chocolates taste great. I dont think there was any melting or freezing (but i wonder if that would happen if shipping in the summer). Apparently its currently out of stock, hopefully they start selling them again sometime soon!!

Delightful Chocolates
I first fell in love with Mirabell's Mozart Balls several years ago when they were given to us by friends visiting Austria. They seem to be unavailable even in luxury stores in the US, at least in the Washington DC area. (One other brand of Mozart Balls is available here but, to me, they are not nearly as good.) Last year, on a trip to Europe, I was able to savor Mirabell's again. Although I am a reluctant and infrequent internet shopper, an overwhelming desire for this favorite chocolate led me to pursue it on line through Amazon. As expected, the shipping charge from Austria was high, but the product arrived in fine condition about three weeks later. It is definitely an extravagance, but my family and I will enjoy them

Some of my favorite chocolates in the World
The Mirabell Mozartkugeln are some of my favorite chocolates in the World. I lived in Austria for 10 years, and perhaps I am biased, but so far, not a single person said they did not like these. The shipment I had received (from seller, "Monarchy Catering") arrived perfectly, and the balls were fresh. I read that some reviewers said theirs came stale or melted. It's too bad that there aren't many sellers in the USA carrying these like how Nutella eventually became popular, and so for now, Amazon sellers are the only way I can get some of these from time to time. Reber's Mozart Kugeln are good too, but because of the Marzipan, it has a more nuttier, alcoholic taste. My dad prefers the taste of Reber's, but the rest of the family (and friends) prefer Mirabell's. I do have to say that the Reber's don't taste as rich (which can be a good thing after you've had too many Mirabell's!) Very Famous Austrian Candy
I bought it as a gift for a lover of this candy. She gives it 5 stars. I liked it for sure but didn't "love" it. ( I tasted two or three) An Austrian friend warned me that they must be "fresh"--- I see that orders shipped in summer were unhappy affairs. So winter is the right season for shipping chocolate. Very little chocolate is sold in Saudi Arabia.

A Molten Mess
I suppose I shouldn't have ordered these during the summer, but I did. Since they were not to be shipped for several weeks, I assumed (yes I know) that shipping during August would be taken into consideration by the seller. It wasn't. While there was a little cushioning material around the box, there was no insulation at all and no markings on the outside of the box that it should be protected from heat. Since the Mozart Balls are loose in the box, they melted into a variety of non-spheriodal shapes and the box itself was saturated with cocoa butter that was originally part of the candy. Removing the foil is akin to untying badly knotted string that has been soaked in water and then dried. The taste reminds me of Moon Pies. Maybe in the winter months these are worth while, but I will stick to Reber in the future (each ball in an individual compartment and shipped with cooling packs in the summer). Thank goodness these weren't a gift!

Stale
It took several weeks for the chocolate to arrive and when it did a lot of it had bloomed and gone stale. Still ate it all because I wasn't going to wait 3 months for a replacement and I'm fat. Won't be ordering again.

Good product, good service
Delicious and exactly what I remember from the ones I was gifted after a friend went to Europe. Package and contents arrived without a mishap (though keep in mind I ordered them in the fall/early winter, so shipping would have been cooler). Definitely worth the purchase if you like Mozart balls.
