Until the End of Time: A Novel

Danielle Steel is one of my favorite authors. I have been a fan of hers and read many of her novels over the last 20 years. Suffice it to say, I am hooked. Many of my favorite books are written by her. Until The End Of Time is a beautiful beautiful story. Danielle weaves two separate love stories set nearly four decades apart together with a few vital themes and similarities – love, understanding, fate, destiny and hope. In 1975, we meet Bill, a lawyer working in New York. He decides he wants to follow his dream and become a minister. Bill’s wife Jenny has worked hard in her career to get to where she is now, but together they leave their old life behind to pursue Bill’s dreams, with the knowledge that whatever happens, they are facing it together. In the present day, Lillibet lives in a strict Amish community, but she has ambitions and dreams of one day being a writer, composing her novel by candlelight at night. Robert is a hard-working man, on the hunt for one big hit novel to publish. When Lillibet’s work falls into his hands, he discovers not only a great book, but a new person to connect with… I absolutely loved Until The End Of Time! The characters were wonderfully written, as I progressed throughout the story I really felt as if I knew them on a personal level. What I loved most about the story is how special the relationships between the main characters were. Danielle did show sadness and pain in the story, but she also showed so much love and strong connections through the characters – everything was so vivid that at times I was openly crying over the scenes, and at other times I was smiling with happiness. There is such a range of emotions portrayed in this wonderful book that you can’t help but be touched by the words. I would thoroughly recommend this! This is truly a very unique, emotional, magical and special book that deserves to be read and re-read all over again. Until The End Of Time is an enchanting story about hope, dreams, compassion, dedication, sacrifice, courage, and above all, the message that true love is forever

Amazing read!

I love Daniel Steel's writing. It flows so smoothly. This book was no exception. I found myself constantly wanting to pick the book up to see what would happen next. It was quite different in having two separate stories within the one book but it held my attention and made me want to continue looking for the link between the two. The characters were very real and believable and the story was so true to life. They were wonderful stories of tragedy and love. I loved the book.

Her familiar style, slightly evolved, shines in what seemed to be like a rushed ending but surprisingly a strong beautiful second half.

What can you say about Danielle Steel that hasn't already been said. This novel was wonderful from beginning to end. I don't know if I believe in deja'vu, however this story will make you believe in things you've never believed in. From Bill and Jenny to Bob and Lilli, this was a wonderful read. Danielle Steel has a way of delivering to readers a very idylic and believable story. The way these characters meet and end up is so enjoyable. I don't want to give away too much of the story but there is a real love story going on between these 4 characters. The kind of love that one can only dream about. Just pick up this book, whether it's a kindle edition or hard cover you will get your money's worth and so much more. You will not be dissapointed.

My impression of the romance genre before I read this book was pretty bad: romance novels made me think of desperate, middle-aged housewives who lacked control of their emotions, and liked fantasizing about a fairytale romance that's simply unrealistic. After reading this book, I realize how condescending, arrogant, and unfounded my harsh opinion was. The point or cheesy romance novels is the same as cheesy action and sci-fi. It's meant to be entertaining and not necessarily realistic. Why three stars? This certainly isn't the best book I've ever read. It isn't Hemingway, Nobokov, etc. The language is very plain and kind of mundane. It isn't an intellectually stimulating read. Also, as one might expect from the romance genre, there's a bit of cheeseness, lots of cliches, and quite a lot of predictability. Although I realize that romance novels aren't necessarily supposed to be grand works of art, I definitely think this book could be better. It has its shortfalls. However, for every corny scene where I kind of chuckled or rolled my eyes, there was another scene that had me slightly on edge, and a bit sad. I was initially bored by the book, but once I got into it, I got hooked and wanted to finish it. Is romance corny? Yes. Is it cliche? Yes. But if you focus on the implausibility of the story and the cheesy aspect, you're barking up the wrong tree. The point is, you get into the story and you start sympathizing with the characters. And honestly, this book does a fair job of that. I was actually fairly impressed by how this book sucks you in. It's nothing spectacular, but it's a cute story, and fantasy or not, it's entertaining. For that I give the author credit. Thus, I'd have to rate this story as decent, maybe leaning towards good. But there's definitely room for improvement.

It gave me a maybe that this could really happen. Only God knows so, we All will have to wait and see. Thank you for this wonderful Book.

When I started the second half of this book, I had to go back and look at the published date. You know how some authors put two of there novels together and republish them for a summer read, I thought that was happening here, I guess I was wrong. I still think I have read the second half of this book before, or something very closely to it anyway. I am still going through my bookcase. "Until the End of Time" is a very fascinating notion. I enjoyed the stories.

The book is on a topic I have never seen for Danielle Steele. Actually, it touches on 2 different topics. Both of which are very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. She tells the story of everlasting love, in a different way.

I coudn't stop reading. Sometimes you had the feeling that you read real story, sometimes that you read fairteil,but it is really one of the best books of my favourite autor.

Both very compelling stories i found it hard everytime i had to put the book down. Another beautiful read Danielle
