Kam Wah Mooncake - 4 of a Kind (1 Yolk)

These flavors of mooncake are a combination of some of my favorites, and I was surprised to see a vendor on amazon that has them (especially ones with 2 egg yolk!). Even if you are new to mooncakes, these flavors are varied and unique so I am sure it would be a great starting place. When I opened them up, they were very moist and fully intact to my surprise. They may be a tad more expensive than what you could find at a local asian mart, but to me it was very worth it with the fast delivery time as well. Locally, they sell mooncakes here but these are even better imo, they remind me of the ones in Malaysia, especially the pineapple flavor which is my favorite! I will be buying these again, especially if they have them year round.

These mooncakes are large and well made. I like that they're stamped with characters that tell what flavor they are. Nice touch. The flavors and textures were all what we expect from well-made commercial mooncakes. The pineapple and taro flavors were delicious and added a nice twist to the more common lotus and red bean flavors. Just be aware - these are made with salted aged egg yolks, two per mooncake. They have a texture like dried biscuit dough and taste to me like salted trout. I hear that's "good" yolk flavor, but as a lover of mooncakes without yolks, I found the yolks ruined the bites and started picking them out before serving.

Gave to cousin. Size of cakes were good. Cousins loved it. Would buy again.

We bought 4 boxes as gifts for my friends and family. It’s a huge mistake. The mooncakes taste horrible and the egg surrounded by some watery orange grease. I took one bite and had to throw them away because it tasted awful and staled even though it was not expired. NEVER buy this brand again.

Delicious &fresh tasting.

I hate to say it I was so excited to try these but I did not like them at all 😭. I’m happy I tried them though but the flavor was DIABOLICAL don’t get the yolks you don’t want the yolks 😭. I’m glad I tried it though as I’ve wanted to for years. The texture was strange and the flavors I liked especially the taro but couldn’t get past the egg taste and smell and the texture. I’d recommend trying a local bakery if possible to get one (since they are pricey) to see if you like it and save money. But if you live in a small town like me and don’t have that luxury, hey don’t knock it till you try it I suppose. But trust me you don’t want the yolks 😭 I’m not even a picky eater but I found something that I don’t like the yolks 😭. The upside is my cat liked trying the egg yolk I only gave him a small amount but he really liked the flavor❤️. It’s great though to have the opportunity to have such a niche item delivered to your door so for that 3 stars 🤏🏾🔥.

Loved it. Best taste at a decent price

I've been wanting to try these for a long time. These were tasty, fresh and moist. The yolks are a acquired taste. I prefer mine without, however still not bad. Definitely worth trying. Will buy again.
