What is the inside diameter of the fixing ring for the pendant 40mm?

I’m not a hundred percent I fully understand what your asking if it’s what I think the inner ring fits on the bulb thing n it’s the size of the old bulbs you used to get so they’re the biggest fittings you can buy ie a bayonet bulb, sorry if this isn’t helpful as I don’t know the technical words
