Not weather proof. - Bought these and 14" and 21" lights for outdoor display. We had very little rain in December of 2013. This year California had lots of rain and almost every tube filled with water corroding the wiring. These are not waterproof. Water enters thru the top wiring that is poorly sealed. These are VERY bright and really can't be used indoors on a tree. The constant changing lights would be extremely annoying. The sites video of an indoor Christmas tree is probably of their former design and looks like a subdued light. The display is a very rapid descent rather than a gently falling rain or snow. I bought some meteor lights from China and they are a cool white color and look great on a Christmas tree as gently cascading snow. These are way over priced and should have lasted more than two seasons. Buy cheaper versions and don't worry if you have to discard them after a few seasons.
