Regret to inform that the Prestige-branded electric kettle (Prestige 1.5 Litre Kettle 1500-watts, Red) we purchased through Amazon stopped working after just one week of use. The kettle no longer turns on, despite our efforts to troubleshoot the issue by changing the power plug and checking the connections. We contacted the manufacturer and requested that the defective product be collected from our home for inspection or replacement. However, we were informed that we must personally deliver the product to one of their service centers. This is highly inconvenient and unreasonable, especially considering that the product became defective shortly after purchase. We also contacted Amazon for assistance, but instead of resolving the issue, we were directed to contact the manufacturer directly. As a customer, I find this level of service extremely disappointing. I purchased this product expecting the quality and reliability associated with the Prestige brand. Unfortunately, the product failed within one week, and the after-sales service has been equally unsatisfactory. I therefore request an immediate resolution, preferably a full refund or replacement, with the defective product collected from our address. Based on this experience, I am highly disappointed and do not wish to purchase this product again. I also expect Amazon and the manufacturer to take responsibility for providing proper customer support for defective products.

The product worked well - fast heating, auto cut off, made a habit of drinking warm water all the time. However, about 12 months into it when the warranty expired, it just failed and doesn't switch on anymore. There was no brown out or electricity issue at that time, so it looks like the coil or circuit gave up
