Review: Good brief diagrams of all things nursing - This e-book is great for getting you back in the mindset of nursing. After graduation, I took a week off before starting to study for the NCLEX. I used this book as a brief and general overview of all things nursing. It got me back into thinking like a nurse and prepared me for deeper study. Pros: โข Tables, pictures, and graphs are easy to read and contain a lot of condensed information โข Information includes topics ranging from vitals, meds, heart auscultation and more Cons: โข I have no cons for this book Final say: This is a great review tool from student nurses that are just starting fundamentals to nurses that are studying for their NCLEX or just starting a new job. Review: Compact and Contains (Most of) the Essentials - The price of this little book is great, and it's nice to have all of these sheets in a small, compact book; however, all of the sheets inside could have been printed off of Google images, and there were some references that were not included that I wish were in there (for example, the SAD PERSONS scale, although this book focuses a lot on things one would expect to find in assessment, fundamentals, or med-surg). There is a note in the beginning stating that the purpose of the book is to provide a quick reference to some of the most needed and most used information, and it undoubtedly does just that. Some of the references inside include a full body picture with IM injection sites mapped out (I wish it also included the maximum volume of medication allowed for each site, but that can be added in), normal lab value ranges, medication antidotes, and insulin onset, peak, and durations. In addition, while the page numbers are indexed in the beginning, there are no page numbers throughout the book. If you're willing to do a little bit of fill in the blank work, then this is a pretty great book to have! All pages have some space to allow notes to be written, which also makes it great if you have learned information about a particular topic in the book that isn't already included. Also included in the first few pages is a link to "63 Must Know NCLEX Labs", so don't forget to check that out!

Helpful little book
Helpful little book during clinicals. Small enough to carry around to have information when you need it. I wish it was in color, instead of black and white but not bad. The main thing I liked was the lab values. Good for beginner nursing students!

A quick review to pass NCLEX
This small book has plenty of important things to take the NCLEX. I used it as part of my studying in 2 weeks to take the NCLEX beside practice about 2,000 questions. I work and I do not have time to look into a big prep book. This book helped me to memorize the important info for the exam.

A masterpiece
Fanfreakingtastic!!! Well thought out NCLEX need-to-knows. Totally cuts out the unnecessary jargon that simply is overwhelming when you are only looking for the meat and potatoes needed for the NCLEX. Jon's books have been very well organized aND comprised in an outstanding mane with material you must know for the exam. I don't mean to discount all the material/aspects necessary to be a nurse-as this is not an encyclopedia of nursing 101. Cosnider this the 'Wikipedia' on NCLEX MUST knows. I found Jons material to be spot on and extremely easy to navigate and incorporate the best knowledge bank to freshen up or to prep for the exam I have been able to find at a fraction of the price. Therefore, don't be hesitant or overlook this sweet deal simply because it's inexpensive and frankly the best value on the market I have found. Don't be like me and $uckered into purchasing the traditional over priced review material by the popular names thinking because it's $50-145 it must be good.

Good content - horrible quality
This content is good. However, I only gave it 3 stars because the entire book is in black and white. Itโs mostly charts and diagrams. The font of the book is extremely small and grey, making it very hard to see. The format is all messed up too. The pages arent completely filled with content. I wouldnโt recommend this to book because of those reasons. It really is a shame because if the print was quality and didnโt need a magnifying glass to read and had colors this would be an absolute go to.

Really helpful "cheat sheets"
My daughter is in an accelerated nursing program. I bought this for her on an impulse. She has thanked me several times for getting it for her. She says it is compact, relevent, and useful. I would buy it again and recommend it for any nursing student.

GARBAGE
Cheap. OFTEN TIMES BLURRY TEXT. Seriously, it's like the printing machine was drunk. I read someone else complain about the blurriness, and I should have been more discerning. It REALLY IS THAT BLURRY. The information is remedial stuff you can find on google or any other web site/search engine. The graphs and pictures are usually too small to be helpful. The pictures showing anatomy locations do not pin-point the area in question. Everything is black and white/ gray scale- so you cannot distinguish details. SERIOUSLY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. This "book" is a laughable excuse at a poorly executed childish attempt to make money by doing the absolute bare minimum work.

However it does provide a good overview of essential knowledge for nursing students
The kindle edition can be difficult to read as the font in the tables and pictures can be quite small. However it does provide a good overview of essential knowledge for nursing students.
