My dog is 8 and never had professional cleaning at the vet. When he was a puppy I tried to brush his teeth but he hated it so I stopped. Have been feeding him greenie daily and vets never mentioned issues with his teeth, until last month. At the recent visit, vet is concerned with his teeth and suggested professional cleaning. I declined because I never want to put my dog to sleep unless I absolutely have to - there’s a risk that they might not wake up and that risk increases as they get older! So I bought this toothbrush and used it daily for about a week so far. My dog didn’t like it that much but was too food motivated to not let me do it lol although I’d say he licked off 50% toothpaste within 2 seconds so the effectiveness might be decreased due to to that. Despite this, I see visible improvements on his teeth - the yellow stuff around the roots of his teeth shrunk in size and some area started to look lighter yellow/white. It absolutely works! It is pricy but in the end it is cheaper then cleaning at vet and you do not need to put your dog to sleep. If you have multiple dogs, then it’s a no brainer that this saves you money big time.

My little dog’s teeth were professionally cleaned 12 months before I purchased this product (so no life time build up of tartar), I watched videos and made sure I understood how to use this toothbrush. I have been using it every day for about seven weeks (at least five minutes each session) and see no improvement. I’m not getting the result where you can begin to use the little stick and the plaque/tartar will start breaking away from their tooth. Since this product doesn’t make a noise and doesn’t vibrate and, so far, does nothing, I’m not sure if mine is defective or they don’t work in general. The light is on and that’s it. My one dog (12 years old), that I use this on daily, got used to it fairly easily — although she doesn’t enjoy it at all. My other little dog (14 years old) was too stressed and I wasn’t able to get him used to it. I felt like if we put the time and effort in, in a consistent way, we would see some good results. I am so disappointed. I’m also confused as to how it’s working so well for so many people on these reviews, but not at all for my dog. I will continue using it a while longer. If it ever helps I will update this review.

I’ve been using Emmi pet on my two 8 year old labs and my nieces golden retriever . I was using on Rosie the golden until she cracked her tooth chewing on a bone . She can tolerate regular brushing but until we see a vet about her tooth I won’t use the Emmi pet on her . My point is , it does emit something because she jerks away from the Emmi pet on that tooth .Don’t give up on Emmi because it’s quiet it doesn’t mean it’s not doing anything . Pleas be cautious and aware of any cracks or bad teeth in your pets mouth the Emmi will hurt your dog with what it emmits! With that said my male lab needs tarter removed off his teeth $600 ! I am going to use Emmi on him 2x daily to see if I see a change in the tarter build up .if so I’ll come back and post my review ! Thekey is if you don’t have time to brush your dogs teeth my vet suggested getting the enzymatic tooth paste in their mouth with your finger before bed , and anytime during the day . Lots of them on Amazon and your local vet should carry . 😊

i also ordered the 2-pack large size toothbrushes and the milder flavor toothpaste to go with this kit.. turns out i did not need to do so because the Large toothbrushes are actually same size as the ‘regular’ toothbrush in this kit and the toothpaste in this kit is not the original one as shown in listing pic, it is the milder version instead.. So save your money and don’t buy extras that you don’t need just yet and may not need if you decide this ultrasonic brush doesn’t work for you!! also, you will need wooden/bamboo tooth scrapers for tartar removable to be effective (or metal ones but, those could cut/cause gum damage if dog moves).. Anyhow just wanted to say the above, we are still getting the hang of this ultrasonic toothbrush set, getting one dog to stay still for a few seconds per tooth has been quite a workout!! may end up sticking with the petlab probright powder with the other dog that is for sure..

After using the Emmi on my two adult rescue dogs for a couple months, their Vet proclaimed that a clinic dental cleaning could be avoided. Their teeth got noticeably better as both dogs had significant plaque build up when they came to live with us. I had been brushing nightly for many many months with only a scant improvement and two months with Emmi made a huge difference. My dogs hate the taste of the toothpaste but tolerate nightly brushing for about a minute long. That’s all it took! I do wish that both the toothpaste and the brush were more affordable for folks however. I’m recommending Emmi to other dog families but the price tag seems to put most off, unfortunately.

Been using this for three weeks twice a day on my dog. Did nothing. Works a a toothbrush. A very expensive one at that.

This tooth brush works really well, but you have to be patient and clean your dogs teeth daily. It takes time and several days of cleaning to remove all of the tatar. The dog doesn't mind as there is no sound or movement. I hold it on the tooth for about two minutes and clean two teeth a day. Once all of the tatar is removed, you can hold it on each tooth for about 10 seconds. This is a great product and beats spending $600.00 for a teeth cleaning which they have to put your dog asleep to do.

Jag har använt denna i 6 dagar (typ 5 minuter per dag) och min hunds tänder har blivit mycket vitare. Den tog bort missfärgningar nästan direkt. Så supernöjd med denna. Hans tandkött som började bli lite irriterat ser nu jättefint ut också. Har haft svårt att borsta tänderna på honom men denna godtar han, den är tyst och inga vibrationer, det är bara att hålla borsten stilla en stund (sekunder). Kommer rekommendera den till alla hundvänner jag känner.

If I could give 0 stars that would be more appropriate for this product or seller. The product came in good packaging however would not adequately charge and when the light would finally show some kinda charge , the brush would shut down in the middle of operation. after reading all the warnings and instructions we could definitely see that this product is defective and potentially dangerous for our family or a dog since electric or charging issue with this product. After reading a return the seller didn’t provide it to us and we are in the middle of a claim with Amazon to settle this serious problem. DO NOT buy, since it’s not safe and the seller doesn’t take responsibility for it’s product!!!

Gutes Produkt,Hund muss daran gewöhnt werden! Braucht etwas Zeit und Geduld. Würde es wieder kaufen!
