My daughter is a competitive gymnast and she loves these grips. They're the standard brand that is used in her gym. Note that the finger holes need to be sized. They have to be perfect fit so they come small. My daughter used the gyms' sizing dowel.

We have purchased 2 pairs of these grips on Amazon and each time there is one “bad” grip where the leather is completely stretched and has no shape making the grips unusable. These were my daughter’s back-up grips so she didn’t get them into use until long after the return window had closed. We have been using Gibson grips for many years. Disappointed, waste of money.

at first, i thought these were too small, but after talking to a rep from gibson...i learned that they are supposed to come up to the first knuckle crease in the middle finger. also, the velcro is a great choice. we were considering the double buckle, because that was recommended to us, but the velcro is SO much easier to put on. broke in fast. like the other reviews say...gotta bore out the finger holes. i used a knife (even though it said not to) to do the majority of the carving. i was careful not to over-do it, and i continued to check for sizing. when i got close to fit, i used sand paper to finish the job. not as hard as everyone made it out to be. my daughter loves them!

The finger holes of these grips were way too small. We tried to use a wooden spoon to stretch the holes to fit my gymnast's fingers (she is a small 11 year old). One of the pair ripped during the "hole stretching" process. The second of the pair had to be cut off her hands. This is not our first pair of grips and we have never had this problem before. Other than the finger hole issue, the grips seemed well made.

Perfect for my 9 year old gymnast. My daughter is on the smaller side for a 9 year old. These smaller grips work perfect for her.
