Even though your pond fish eat less during cooler weather, it’s still important to maintain a balanced diet. TetraPond® Spring & Fall Diet fish food helps koi, ornamental goldish and all other pond fish of any size to transition in and out of winter. Feed in spring and fall, when water temperatures are between 50 and 39 degrees. This transitional food is formulated with wheat germ, a highly digestible protein even at low water temperatures. **Q: how often should you feed koi and gold fish**
A: Depends on the time of year.  The water temp should be 50 degrees or warmer and the fish active.  From 50 to around 60, once every other day is enough.  60+ generally once a day, and in the summer, when water temps are typically in the upper 60s and 70s, twice a day.  If the weather is really hot though, cut back to once a day and increase aeration or filtration.
