Radio Pouch Compatible with 5.11 Bags/Packs/Duffels, Style 58718

It's 5.11, so you know the quality is going to be top notch (unlike some odd ball manufacturers/sellers on Amazon eBay). As with all or most of the 5.11 pouches, the molle straps are built it so there's no added expense of getting malice clips (TERRIBLE) or Blackhawk Speed Clips (good) and worrying about getting the correct length etc. The Slipstick system is easy to use and thread through the molle. I've noticed 5.11 has went to a new snap at the bottom of the strap: the female side of the snap is open on both sides, means sand, dirt, water won't get trapped in the "hole" and prevent the male end from pushing in (giggity). The snaps hold well too...good improvement. The pouch itself is simple and accommodating to any a range of radio sizes. I had another pouch that was super tight and required two hands to get my radio into it. I wear this on a molle equipped duty belt (Volund Gearworks), so I can't really get two hands to the pouch with the belt on. I'm running a Motorola XTS5000 radio with a Freelinc wireless adapter attached to it. The Freelinc adapter is a little bigger that a standard mic connector so that what I was really worried about. There's enough give in the fabric to allow the connector to push it down a little, so the radio doesn't get hung up and sit too high....it doesn't however, just slide all the way in when that connector is on. Once I cinch down the bungee over the top it's good to go and a non-issue. The fact that the entire outside of the pouch is loop velcro is perfect for quickly pulling down the bungee or securing it, without having to hit a specific spot. Also plenty of room for patches. Unless you're running an oversized or odd radio and need something specific, this is your best bet.

I own two of these, and i love them. I have two other radio holsters, Maxpedition, an off brand look a like to this 5.1 and the condor ( which is only works for small family radios. What i love about the 5.11 holder is that it's easy to get the radio in and out of the holster ( if you have the straps loose). The other radios the strap comes over the top of the radio and ALWAYS gets hookup on the control knobs. Also, unless you have a large radio; my Kenwood TH-d72 and 22at, Yaesu's vx-7 and vx-8, don't rub in the inside of the holster hard -- which doesn't wear out the rubber key pad on the front of the radios. The 5.11 holster also double has "other" use, when it doesn't have a radio in it. the pockets are deep enough ( and there are not large openings for things to fall out) . A water bottle will fit no problem. Keys, wallet, etc, no problem. Lastily, the tie tacs used for a molle are genius. they are fabric and will bend. And, they are stiff enough to be sturdy. And, unless you see them in action; my words don't do them justice; but, they slide up and down from the top of the holster .. making putting the holster on a molle system super easy. And, they are well made. If you beat the tar out of them, I think they'll laugh at you. Maxpedition Falcon ii; Yaesu Vx-8DR in the pictures.

Surprise surprise - Amazon actually both pictured and described this product correctly! (Be sure to read detailed descriptions carefully - and reviews - when buying 5.11 products until the Amazon buyers get their act together on this fine accessory line.) Like all the other 5.11 products in this line, well built and purpose-perfect. The Slickstick Molle connectors are a wonderful innovation. This pouch fits perfectly either on the front of the shoulder straps of my Rush72 bag on top of the C5 (which Amazon calls large) cell phone pouch - OR - would also strap perfectly on the Molle system on the side pockets keeping a whip antenna out of your face, high and behind. There is a wide top strap on the Rush72 shoulder straps perfect for a remote mic clip. My Yaesu VX7R fits comfortably and completely in this pouch. Don't expect a large brick radio to fit - designed for current generation portables. Pouch also works for the largest Garmin GPS/GMRS radios. For tall radios, a mini bungee and Velcro tab on the front will keep the radio snugly in place. I am buying a second one to keep the GPS up front and transceiver on the back. If you look carefully, virtually all the accessory products can be obtained via Amazon Prime - my favorite purchase on Amazon this year! (Amazon Prime, that is.)

The price on this radio holder is reasonable, especially for the sturdy material and quality of the product itself. I have no complaints with the exception of the comfort; even when I do not have my radio in the holder, the rigidity of the straps, which I assume will wear down with use, kept poking my sides a bit but I can only say it was slightly annoying. Other than that, this holder is reliable and is used for what I need it for... to hold my radio! I would not expect less from 5.11 and that's one of the reasons why I steered towards buying a holder from them. You buy cheap, you'll see the results, unless you take care of your things. This is not cheap but it's definitely worth the price.

I'm gonna rate it well for how it is made and how secure it felt. It was too small for the radio issued to me, but that's not the pouch's fault. It is made very well and I trust the durability and the functionality. It held the radio fine but it obviously was too small for it and would cause issues down the line. For reference I carry a Motorola HT750 with a belt clip and shoulder mic attached. Without the belt clip I'm sure it would be fine. Again, no fault to the case itself. I do like the drawstring holder feature.

This product is great. It’s 5.11! Of course its durable. Doesn’t feel cheap. Fits my radio perfectly fine. With clip or no clip. If you’re planning on using the same radio as you can see in the photo, without the clip that radio won’t fall out. It’s attached to my SLD carrier.

Ordered the pouch not aware that "storm" is a very light grey colour. In the picture when ordered it was clearly black.

Marque réputée qui n'a plus rien à prouver ! Pour autant, l'élastique a cédé seulement quelques mois après l'achat ... La seule chose à redire est que la couleur sur internet n'est pas similaire à celle reçue.
