Great product works great cost effective but I don't like cold brew!
It's a great product. Simple well built easy to use. I've only used it twice. First I tasted the coffe at different times. four hours, 6, 8, 12, 24. To see the difference that made. I didn't like any of it. In fact I couldn't drink it and threw it all out. Not the coffee makers fault. I just don't like cold brew. It even makes me feel sick. I drink decaf for the flavor of it. I like a deep rich coffe flavor. I like a medium rroast sweet coffe bean espresso. Cold bew just doesn't taste anything like that. Itt has its own taste wich is very mild and smooth or flavorless depending on your attitude. But it does extract more caffeine from the beans even my decaf beans made coffee to caffeinated for me. It also extracted some other stuff from the beans my espresso maker doesn't having a totally different effect on that Ididn't like. I recommend trying cold brew before getting into making it yourself but my coffee shop doesn't have decaf cold brew so I had to buy this to see for myself. If you like cold brew this is a great way to go. Aside from changing the time of the brew you can pla around with adding paper filters inside the metal filter or filtering the the coffee after its downe but I didn't mind the slight sludge on the bottom of my coffee cup. So the machine is simple easy to use works well easy to clean. Great if you like cold brew buts a completely different type of coffee.

Great Quality Filter and Cap, Cold Brew Coffee and Tea, Simple and Effective!
Great simple, economical process for brewing Cold Brew Coffee and Tea, the filter is very nice quality and is durable. The Ball Jar is "Ball" and not some cheap imitiation. Included lid with seal is a nice touch and does not leak, but takes some care in locking it down since the seal grips the filter and jar and adds some load against the threads. Not as easy vs. the regular Ball lids with bands which are a breeze to install. I initially had one of these and was using it to Cold Brew Coffee and Tea at diffferent times, due to demand and not wanting to cross or contaminate the flavor, I recently picked up another and will use one for Tea and the other for Coffee. Even with a coarse grind, I still noticed trapped grinds stuck in the filter, could not get them out perhaps if placed in the dishwasher but I have not tried this method yet? I still get some sediment which I read is common with this method, no big deal as it stay's on the bottom of the jar when pouring. The directions are straight forward but I still cannot match the flavor of Peet's Baridi Cold Brew which is bold and smooth, which I like. Peet's sells the Baridi Blend Beans specially for Cold Brewing, will give that a try to see if I can match the bottled version. For tea, I use 4 to 5 tablespoons of loose leaf tea and brew in the fridge per the directions, get great results and bought additional Ball jars or various sizes to store up a week's worth of cold brew tea and/or coffee for a week. I looked into Cold Brew due to my sometimes sensitive stomach, gastritis issues that pop up occasionally when I drink too much of that highly acidic coffee at work and reading how the reduction in acid % of cold brew, lookedl like a win win for me and so far it has helped. Looked at some of the drip systems and other higher cost Cold Brew methods, but after some research I narrowed it down to a simple filter mesh in a ball jar and this was it.

Great product for cold brewing
I love this. It is not like pressing a button and coffee comes out, but cold brewing coffee is a bit of a process and should be, because it needs to sit for 12-24 hours. It is pretty easy to clean, simple to use, and the glass jar washes easily and does not stain. Coffee stains like a b....

Easy to use, great iced coffee
This works well and is very easy to use. We've made many batches of iced coffee already and it's delicious. Much easier than a previous iced coffee maker. My only complaint is that there were no instructions describing how much ground coffee to put in. So I winged it and it turned out fine. But it would be good to have a basic ratio for grounds to water somewhere in the packaging.

Great product. Tips for usage inside.
This system works really well. The filter is extremely fine. Surprisingly it did not get clogged up as quickly as I expected. It washes out with no problems for me. And you can toss it in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. The seam could come loose eventually, but it has a steel band around the outside of the top and bottom to keep it structurally sound. It is well made. Based on my experience with cold brew coffee, here are some thoughts: 1. I foolishly filled it up to the very top with coffee grounds instead of leaving an inch up top. It took 10 min to filter all my water through. Don't do that. If you want to fill it up with coffee, use another technique as per below. 2. Using preground coffee or having a good grinder will give best results because the fines will not clog up the filter, thus allowing for more water flow and movement when you shake it. That said, even with my lousy blade grinder it worked fine and the grounds will always be surrounded with water... though I'd expect the water in the grounds to get pretty saturated unless you periodically shake it. But water tends to diffuse anyways so it probably takes care of itself. 3. To get a stronger/faster extraction you might consider using warmer water. Heating 8 cups of water to warm it up (120F or so) and using that will kickstart the extraction nicely without bringing out too much acidity or bitterness. You can experiment to find the right balance for your beans. 4. I'd recommend adding about 6 cups of water to the jar straight up, then adding the filter and the coffee, then pouring the rest into the filter over the coffee. This will save some pouring time, especially if you want to fill the coffee grounds to the top. 5. If you want to brew more at a time, consider using an empty milk jug like I had been doing. You just use a funnel to pour everything in and you are ensured a full immersion with plenty of room for the water to circulate freely. In this case, the work is done at the END instead of the beginning like with this brewer. What you do is pour the coffee/grounds mixture right into the jar with empty filter which will catch the grounds. The grind will determine how fast it will filter out into the jar. Once it slows down too much, pull the filter out, rinse it, transfer filtered coffee to other container, and repeat. You can swish the filter around to get all the coffee out. Then you can go back and do a second filtration to get most of the fines out. 5.1) If you use the milk gallon approach above, I recommend pouring the coffee into MULTIPLE smaller containers. This way you use each small one for a few days and each one that you use will be filled to the top, not ever opened, and thus will not oxidize and get stale. This way you can use the entire gallon worth of concentrate and last for a week or two. 6. As they stated, you can get a second jar somewhere to make a new batch when the old batch is almost gobbled up, so theres no "down time" or need to short-circuit the brewing process and wind up with weaksauce coffee. 7. They say you can leave it out to brew but I don't really like this idea...not for more than an hour or so. Leaving the coffee at room temp, bacteria will multiply relatively quickly. Sun Tea had similar issues back when it was popular. The caffeine from your coffee will inhibit this somewhat, but I wouldn't take the chance. (assuming you aren't using decaf!) 8. Actually check out the manual...it has some quite interesting recipes!

DELICIOUS - but lots of "sediment"
Bottom line: this is a phenomenal cold brew maker - IF you have time to filter. Pros: durable, simple, makes delicious cold brew, easy to clean, affordable Cons: when using pre-ground coffee, there is a ton of sediment, which takes time to filter out Worth it? Absolutely! I ordered this bad boy and couldn't wait to use it once it arrived. Easy: open, clean, fill the filter with grounds to the top line level on the jar (will leave a few inches on top - picture included). Then pour cold, filtered water slowly over the grounds, up just past the top line on the jar so all the grounds are submerged. I stirred the grounds for about 5 minutes. Seal the jar with lid. I did this at 4pm, and let the jar sit out until I went to bed, which was around midnight. Then I stuck it on the fridge. At 9am the next morning, I stirred the grounds once more, then dumped them. Cleaning the filter was a breeze with a soft baby bottle brush. I then went through the painful process of filtering out the sediment. A lot of people won't do this because it is time-consuming and you do lose a little bit of coffee. But honestly, losing a bit of coffee is worth having clean, filtered coffee in my mind. I transferred the cold brew to a bowl, where I mixed it with a simple syrup I had just made. Then I rinsed out the jar and began filtering. I used a pour-over with a coffee filter to strain all of the sediment out. It took about 20 minutes and required multiple coffee filters, but was 100% WORTH IT. The end result was a delicious, balanced, robust and CLEAN cold brew that I immediately poured over ice and added cream to. Wow all around. Everything about this system is great, but the tedious process of filtering again means minus 1 star. I had found another cold brew system with a second filter and do wish I had gone with that one. Regardless, this is a fantastic option if you're either 1) open to sediment; 2) grind your own beans and use a more coarse ground; or 3) have time to filter. Pictures included - paper towel roll for size reference. Stir spoon and filtering process included.

Sturdy, simple steps and does the job
I had to replace my Primula cold brew set because the plastic cover broke down (took it out of storage from my cellar for the summer season and cover came apart in pieces, had it about 5 yrs). I began my research and at first was looking for a fancy machine that would make the cold brew quicker. The reviews for those machines are hit or miss. I decided to keep looking because I didnโt want to spend the money on so-so results, nor did I want to have to bother with a return. I did like the Primula system and saw they had newer options but one upgrade I hoped for was a bit more of a yield so a batch would last my work week. My search continued and I decided to look at the highest reviews with a good # as well. I looked on Google but settles at Amazon for the most options. Came across this one, checked out the videos (well done for the lost part) and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Price was good, process simple and looked like the yield was decent, at least would get me through the week. Iโve used it through the summer and will be putting it away now until about next Memorial Day ( The verdicts is that it checks off all my boxes- - Simple to use and clean. Put all pieces in the dishwasher 1/wk. - After you account for the displaced liquid due to the filter being removed Iโd say I got 4-5 cups or 32-40 oz - Price was good and comparable to others that were more complicated or fragile. - All pieces are well made, quite sturdy. I wished the handle didnโt stick out so far but because the glass container is thick and heavy (which I like) you need that leverage to hold it securely. Tip: It takes a while to fill it with water through the strainer w/the coffee, so I fill the container about 1/2 way with water and then do the rest through the strainer. I always let it brew for 24 hrs and thereโs no taste difference at all. -

Great quality cold brew container โ convenient, sturdy, and looks nice in the fridge
I received this cold brew container as a Christmas gift and have been using it daily for about a week now. Iโm really impressed with the quality and how easy it is to use. The container itself is glass, which feels sturdy and high quality. The lid is heavy-duty plastic with a built-in handle, making it easy to lift and pour, even when itโs full. The interior filter appears to be stainless steel and works very wellโno grounds slipping through and no mess. What I love most is the convenience. As a busy person, being able to make cold brew in advance and have it ready for several days has been a game changer for my mornings. I just grab it from the fridge and go. It also looks great. The design is clean and minimalist with a subtle cottage-style feel, so it doesnโt look bulky or out of place. It fits nicely either on a fridge shelf or in the door and is roughly about the size of a half-gallon of milk. Overall, this is a well-made, user-friendly cold brew container that I would absolutely recommend if you like having coffee prepped ahead of time.

Fantastic
Excellent item, I use this for cold brew and swap out the stainless steel lid for the lid with a handle (purchased separately) when it's ready to be served up.

Works well
If you aren't in a rush for a cold brew, this is an excellent option. I usually give it 48 hours before the coffee is strong enough. Extra large well made glass container. I like that the lid has a sturdy handle. If I had one complaint it would be that the flip top on the lid doesn't snap shut to prevent spills.

Love it
Bought this for work, very happy with it. Filter mesh is top quality, everything is easy to clean as well. Make sure you get a coarse ground coffee to work the best. I have since bought another for home.

Easy to use cold brew- brewer
Very easy to use, good quality materials like thick glass and a tight seal. I stored it on its side in the fridge to test the seal for camping and it held up. Makes delicious cold brew. Make sure to use coarse grind or you may end up with some very very fine coffee grounds in your coffee. I find 24 hrs makes the perfect brew. I would buy again.

I am absolutely thrilled with my Cold Brew Coffee Maker! This Mason Jar Pitcher has become an essential part of my morning routine. The design is not only charming with its classic Mason jar aesthetic but also highly functional. The durable glass construction ensures that my cold brew stays fresh and delicious for days. What's great is the simplicity of the brewing process - just add coffee grounds and water, let it steep overnight, and wake up to a smooth and flavorful cold brew coffee. The stainless steel filter is a game-changer, making cleanup a breeze and eliminating the need for disposable filters. Plus, the pitcher is easy to store in the fridge and pours without any drips or spills. It's convenient, efficient, and produces the perfect cup of cold brew every time. Highly recommend!
