Imagine my excitement when my Marine Electronics dealer offered to remove it and replace it with the new Garmin GC200 IP camera. What could be bad about that? Sadly the frames per second (referred to as video refresh rate) is only 9 frames per second (9hz) which make the video look like a strobe light effect or stop motion photography effect. Imagine backing a half million dollar boat into a slip and relying on a camera that has a jerky motion refresh. I thought how could Garmin do this. My Chartpolotter is a Garmin 7612XSV and the camera GC200 was professionally installed and double checked by the dealer. Needless to say, the dealer is removing the camera this week and sending it back. Will be converting to Raymarine Cam220 and possibly replacing the Garmin Chartplotter.
