This is a repeat purchase of this product. I have WiFi in my home from my Starlink Internet Connection that is very fast, but a wired connection is faster and more reliable than the WiFi, so this is an inexpensive way to increase your connectivity and maintain that speed you really want by providing the needed and wanted extra Ethernet Lan Ports. Recommended.

I cannot say that this switch has anything especially great about it, but it just plain works to create extra network connections when needed. It is not a managed switch which means it should not be hooked to other switches. This can cause loops and hangups in the network, but if it is the sole switch on a home network or something like that, it is great. It is also very lightweight. I velcro taped mine to the back of a desk area which also houses a server and you do not even know it is there and it is not in danger of falling at all. Great product if you are not trying to get more out of it than it is capable of giving. And at $15 you really cannot beat that. I would recommend this to anyone in a small or home office, or if you just need a basic switch to add multiple network drops to an area that might have several devices needing an ethernet connection.

Works fine. Five port was no longer sufficient for our needs. Should have gone bigger to begin with.

This is a nice, simple, easy and as described product. I'm using it to network a pi stack and works exactly as described. My only complaint (knowing this going into it) is that it uses a small barrel connector for power (5V .6A) in a world where USB is standard. Why doesn't this just use a standard Micro USB power connector like the rest of everything else in existence today? It's going to when I'm done with it :), but it's added effort when I could just be off to the races.

This desktop switch does what it say it will does. It provides 8 ports that allow you to expand your network. I have my router that has 4 wired ports, which were quickly filled. So I plugged a cable from my router to the switch and then the switch allows me to have more ports. Its kinda like an extension cord for your ethernet. That being said you need to plug a router into this switch to work properly. It will not work without a router to route the data thru the switch to the right place. It has been running 24x7 for months now without any incident. I have other TP Link products that have also worked great for me. I recommend this switch if you want to wire your house with a hard wired internet. I keep my wireless turned off almost all the time, as it may negatively affect your health. So wired is much safer and this switch allows you to do it affordable.

Since I got my TP-Link AV500 Nano Power-line Adapter Starter Kit, up to 500Mbps (TL-PA4010KIT) working in my living room I wanted to change all my consoles to use cable instead of WiFi, but well the Power-line only have an outlet, so a Switch is required. Now using this switch all of my Consoles and my smart tv got network connectivity using the better connection with the Ethernet cables. This device is great, I'm kind in love with TP-Link, my router, my wireless adapter, my network card and my power-lines are from them, so I decide to get the Switch in that brand and works perfectly.

Our household has had Verizon FiOS for years and are constrained by just a mere four ports on the back of their router. One is obviously already in use by the computer in the office. Many years have gone by and I've researched which new box I should get to see if it would even work. Once you abandon the Verizon router you lose most of the services the router itself provides, which is silly because why would I get rid of it if I need it to watch TV? Lots of the research I did told me to connect this wire to that port, change this setting to that setting and maybe it will work. When I saw this switch, I thought, what is the worst I could lose? I plugged it in, moved a cable around, plugged a few things in and off I went. No fuss, no muss, just simple installation. I wasn't worried about latency or losing speed because it's just connected to home automation stuff, not video gaming with it. I would recommend it highly, especially if you're a Verizon customer in my same situation!

good looking, nice compact 8 port switch. Works great, does what a switch is supposed to do. Power adapter is compact too, not a bulky heavy 60Hz transformer. Only CON is there is no means to attach it to a wall. The case is completely smooth on all 6 sides. Guess that's what being a desktop switch means ;) Update 7/31/2017 first switch still working great so I bought another one. They changed it for the worse. Old switch had the activity LEDs on the top. New switch has the activity LEDs back where the RJ45 jacks are. All that's on the top is the power LED. I like the old one better.

Escrevo a analise depois de quase 3 anos porque não lembrei. Produto usado para interligar câmeras ip a um DVR. Ligado 24/h dia, não tenho do que reclamar. Produto simples, barato mas que cumpre a sua função.

Let op is maar tot 100mpbs. Voor mijn gebruik voldoende snel. Heb ook maar een 100mbit abbonement. Werkt als het zou moeten degelijk apparaat.
