NS-850 Silent Upright Masticating Juicer, Silver

I could probably write an entire essay on this juicer, but I like to keep reviews short, so I'll just stick to the main reason I love my new Kuvings juicer. If your looking for a juicer that gets all the juice, and you dont mind cutting up the veggies and fruit, you might love this juicer too. Its easy to set up, once you get it. Just line up the red dots...It takes a little practice but after you understand, its so easy. It slowly and gently crushes all of the veggies, including greens, but its easy and powerful. You can tell its well built. I like that I hardly have to do anything except just drop in the pieces. With my Jack LaLaine juicer from Costco, I had to practically force everything through...Plus, the pulp was always really wet, and it just flew everywhere if I wasnt careful...It was a big mess to clean up too. But this one is so different. The pulp flows slowly into the container and stays together, so isnt a mess... I always cut my pieces up when juicing, so I dont mind that the feeder tube isnt huge, This juicer is happiest when you do that. I've never had anything get stuck or had to push the reverse button. If you alternate the greens with harder stuff, it works beautifully. You can tell by the quality of the pulp that most of the juice is being extracted. When you're finished, its a breeze to clean. I am always amazed that it only takes me about 5-7 minutes to clean it. There is a little brush for cleaning the screen. Their is one chute where pulp goes out that always stays stuck, so I use the end of the brush under water and it just washes out. I timed how long it takes me to do orange and apple juice for breakfast, and I was amazed that it was only about 20 minutes. Of course, greens take a bit longer.. My other juicer always took at least 45 minutes to an hour including prep and clean up. I must also mention that this is the quietest juicer I have ever seen. Almost no noise. My old juicer hurt my ears! This was a little more $$, but so worth it! Happy juicing.

I make typical green drinks almost daily. Leafy greens in particular clog this up. Celery, Spinach, Collared greens will clog the chute in next to no time and the machine will start leaking out the bottom and stop working effectively. The juice will in turn be too pulpy (requiring you to use a strainer) and cleaning it after a clog is a nightmare. I do find that cutting celery into 1/2" bite sized chunks and even chopping kale up a bit helps prevent clogs, and it only clogs about one out of every ten times or so. The rest of the time it's quite enjoyable to use. Would be great if the internal parts were dishwasher-safe - although you get quite quick at cleaning it, it's still a chore. I purchased this item instead of the Omega VRT (which has a better reputation) purely for vanity reasons - I thought this one would look better on my tabletop. It's not perfect, but manageable and I still probably wouldn't have another juicer. My friend has an Omega and his clogs up sometimes too.

So far completely pleased! This machine is very well designed. Quiet, efficient and easy to clean. Juices anything and everything so far with nary a whimper. I bought the juicer to start a 'reboot' after watching 'Fat, sick and nearly dead'. (btw, great great documentary!). I myself fortunately am none of those but I believe in proactive health. I like the idea of a juice fast for a period of time. I also realized that I was thinking too much about this and doing tons of research to figure out juice combos and then I just started shoving things through. Everything is wonderful and tastes great. The only suggestion I have is that the machine have a bigger feeding tube. Although so far it hasn't been an issue and the only thing I had to cut up were apples and lemons. At any rate, I love this machine. Even the quirky English in the user manual. I highly recommend this juicer! Oh, update - only a few weeks into this, a piece broke off the juicing bowl while in use and flew across the room. I'm contacting the manufacturer and will wait to see how they respond. At the very least, I need a new juicing bowl. It concerns me that this would happen while in operation but if they respond promptly and appropriately, I will understand. Customer service was handled beautifully! new juicing bowl - but do watch out for really rigid veggies like beets and make sure bowl is on there right - i love this juicer! thanks kuving!

Best thing about this juicer it is quite compare to others I have used. As far as performance it's about the same as other less expensive competitors. Cons - is the price and cleaning. Difficult to clean and it stains. I use it every day. Now that I had this product for over 6 months I can honestly say this is the worst juicer I have ever used or any small appliance that I have ever bought for 350.00. Within the first month it began working intermittently. I have contacted Amazon for a return label, but never got one. Instead of liquid juice I'm getting a cup full of pulp. The plastic bowl has cracked and chipped in 2 places. This is not a product for everyday use. If you're planing to use this juicer every day as I do, don't waste your money. Just bought Breville with stainless steel bowl. Works like a charm, much more simpler to assemble, no plastic to stain and not any more noisier that Kuvings disaster.

Unit is not very strong.. but OK.. discharge chute has Bad Eng. Flaws.. if you really want a Good Unit that will last yrs. and juciesr like a Pro.. and you CAN JUICE GREENS without clogging then wait for the Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer CHEF CS600 it may cost a pretty penny but you wont curse as you juice and def. get your monies worth.. otherwise if its too much $$$.. buy a knock off.

this juicer is really good its very quiet and it makes great juice and very easy to clean, works great

Product is not all that its cracked up to be, over priced and personally for me you can get better for cheaper, company was great to deal with they replaced cracked parts no problem at all, but I don't think it should crack, same spot TWICE, obviously a defect that should be taken care of.

Really well built juicer. Produces high quality juice.
