I have a custom bike. The throttle cable was longer than I could ever convince you with a mere story. After a while, Must fix that. Putting a cable on that you can't replace on the road... super bad idea. None of the HD cables were quite right. Too short. So I got these, cut the cable housing to length, likewise the cable, and installed one of these (medium aize). I did some mods, such as drilling one side of the entry hole so it was a funnel-guide, as the next time I use it will be at 22:00 outside of Green River, UT, or somesuch place. It is working for me. I carry a spare cable that is the right length and I soldered the end to contain the strands and make on the road replacement a breeze, plus I think it holds better. It was pretty hard to get it to stick until I used acid paste. You only want a visible amount of solder, if that, and solder before cutting. But you knew that. This is working well for me, and I like the quality. I carry one for my riding partners too. Beats whittling and electrical tape (I'm a longtime rider).

These little guys are amazing because they work perfect. I wish that I had known that cable stoppers existed. I tried making my own with 60/40 solder at least 5 times no joke. I couldn’t get the solder to stay on the cable end each time but cable stoppers on the other hand does the job done. Makes the job easy and comes out nice and clean too.

Well made brass cable-end assortment. Threaded all the way through so you can secure from both side if needed. I used the 1/4" on my Harley carburetor and replaced the philips head screw with small Alan-head studs from both sides for a super secure clamp on the cable. Works just fine. Just an FYI....these are not for the throttle grip end of the cable which are usually a smaller ball end.

Package was damaged & items were loose in shipping bag. One of them was not threaded, so it useless. Glad I got the multi pack so I could do my cable repair on my snow plow.

Stuff the cable in, tighten the screw. Nothing too crazy to it. Works fine.

Tired of rolling down my drivers side window for 2009 Grand Caravan to let myself out. Interior door handle cable was broken. Pulled the panel off the door and seen the door handle cable broke right at the barrel. Rather than replacing the entire cable, just used one of the Cable lock barrel's to fix problem. Would also work well with broken bike brake cables.
