The texture is good, the colour is spot on, the smell is lovely, but there is a weird citrus flavour in there that should not be in there. These are going into the trash.

These do NOT taste like your classic circus peanuts. Not at all.I'll admit, people who like circus peanuts are an odd bunch (myself included). We love that artificial banana flavor for some strange reason.This brand of circus peanut has rejected that classic flavor for ... I'm not sure what. It doesn't taste like artificial OR real banana. It's some generic citrus flavor.And it's not a particularly pleasant flavor.Why, as a company, would you put a product on the market for a niche demographic, but reject the primary reason people like that particular product in the first place? It makes no sense.Anyway, if you're looking for that nostalgic flavor, search elsewhere. The culinary chemists who put these circus peanuts together were obviously NOT fans of the original candy. Which seems to me to be a truly major flaw in creating something like this.They are, as the packaging says, soft and fluffy. But I'll eat a rock hard circus peanut (though I prefer them soft) that tastes right.These don't. So fluffy doesn't matter.I definitely won't be purchasing these again.

The texture was good however it had a terrible citrus, bitter taste. I will not be purchasing from this company again.

The recipe was not the same.

First of all the positives: Soft, fresh and smell amazing. The negatives: Smashed in shipping. The flavor is awful!! They don’t taste right at all. Kind of a sour taste too. Of course non-returnable. They taste nothing like the OG Circus 🥜. What a disappointment!! Would return if possible, wouldn’t buy again.

So freshness and quality in circus peanuts is important, no one wants hard old candy when it should be soft and squishy! These were that. Yay!! For me however, the flavor was odd, strange, maybe overpowering. I couldn’t tell if it was too strong a banana flavor or just a bad imitation flavoring but it was enough to ruin these for me. My husband loved and quickly demolished the entire bag so obviously he had no issues with the flavor.Maybe historically the ones I grew up on had lighter flavors or something, but I don’t recall the flavor being so bold it smacks ya in the face and is all you can taste, overpowering or maybe it just changing tastes. I think these are worth ordering and trying, we just found them a bit polarizing in my house.
