Good splitter. Recomended!
It helps to be knowledgeable about what you are splitting to know if the signal will be unusable/low in gain because of the extra load of more speakers/headphones etc. There is power sent out with majority of audio signals. When dividing that power, you might have issues depending on your use situation. If the signal you are splitting doesn't have sufficient gain/volume behind it, you may find that after the split the volume is not loud enough. So be aware and knowledgeable about what you are splitting! It is NOT going to reamp/boost/buffer your signal. This is by nature and NOT a problem or design flaw. Again, know what you are doing! (I say this because I read alot of "bad" reviews about this product over situations that come up due to what is stated here)Anyways, this is a hard plastic product. For some reason, I thought the black part was rubberized. This is no big deal at all. Just want to put it out there as I may not be the only one who thinks this.I am using mine to split a 1/8" MIDI out off of a MIDI controller (Beat Step pro) and then converting the 1/8" outs from this product with 1/8" to MIDI converters> this is great because it saves me from having to buy a MIDI through box. Absolutely saves me a good amount of money.I would not try to use this to split audio 5 ways without having something on hand to reamp the signals. Which COULD possibly require a reamping device for EACH output coming off of this (5 outs if used this way ..) Be aware! By no means am I implying that this WILL be the case, but it does happen to people as you can read in the reviews.Cables are not braided or reinforced which does worry me because of the weight of the splitter putting street on the wire. (The splitter is *VERY* light. I am saying over time, the *VERY SMALL* amount of weight of the splitter on its "IN" wire could contribute to additional wire degradation!)I highly recommend this product for ANY situation that calls for a signal to be split. The "star" design lends itself to having a more tidy work/listening area!

I own four of these and recommend them to everyone
Most people talk about using these as a splitter. It works for that, but I really enjoy using these as an mixer. There are two scenarios in particular I love to use these for:1) My work is computer based. I like driving my audio with phone, but still having audio from my computer. I leave this on my desk plugged into the computer and then just plug my phone in when I start to work.2) For long game sessions, as long as it isn't a story heavy game, I like listening to podcasts while playing (especially grindy RPG games). I can plug in my phone while plugging into the PS4 controller and getting both audio. It is a passive mixer, meaning you can't control the mix of audio with the device. For example, if your game audio is quiet, and your podcast is too loud. But most consumer devices have controls and you can use those. So in the scenario I just gave, you can bump the phone down on your smart phone that is playing the podcast, and the PS4(and switch) has a setting for audio out volume of the controller.I own multiple devices just for the convenience. I leave an extra in my work bag and one in my night stand. I have yet to have any of them break.

Great, affordable option for listening center!
This is my second purchase of this product because I loved it so much. It is an affordable option for a classroom listening center. The students can easily hook up their headphones independently. During use all students are able to hear the story perfectly without any sound distortion. The only thing that would make this product better is a little longer connection piece. Perhaps a wire that is 12” long versus the shorter one. If the CD player isn’t placed directly in the center of the table, some students are unable to sit back comfortably in their chairs without their headphone wires pulling. Other than that, it’s awesome!

I have enjoyed the use of this device for outputting a sub ...
I have enjoyed the use of this device for outputting a sub woofer and openback headphones at the same time out of a single 3.5mm outlet. I recommend it well enough for this purpose. I once had it fall out of my pocket while trying to pull out an mp3 player and it still works and is not but ever so minutely scuffed. The only thing I can say is that the jack may not stay secure with wiggle on all outlet devices (partly depending on the device). I had a few partial disconnects on my t200 convertible tablet computer but overall and especially if it is stationary it should be fine. If any buyer finds this a problem then it might be good to find a well made right angle connector/adapter with a snug fit to send between the device and the hub adapter. I find this hub to be very useful and can recommend it.

Does it allow multiple inputs to one output on the built in male 3.5? Yes.
There was a bit of confusion when purchasing this because so many people, including the sellers, haven't been clear on if you can have multiple inputs to one output. I can say, yes, you can fill up all 5 female jacks with input devices. Where this would be used is if you have one speaker system as an output that you want multiple devices to output to. I have a PC, Intel NUC and a smart phone hooked up as inputs all going out to a Logitech z623 stereo system. I don't notice a drop in clarity when using multiple inputs, but for each active input the volume drops a bit and it would be more likely to get distortion with multiple signals at high volumes. I personally will not be using more than one at a time, so for my use it acts more as a hub. There are two things to note when using it like this. First, cable length and quality seem to make a difference. My NUC, which has a low-end soundcard but is using a higher quality 3ft 3.5mm cord, is noticeably louder than my PC that has an amp boosted signal and better soundcard but has to travel 8ft on a cheaper 3.5mm cord. The second thing to note is that if you have more than one device active one may take control of volumes. For instance, my Android phone will drastically deafen all other inputs and take over the output. I am sure this has to do with some function of smart phones audio control, but i felt it should be noted. Besides that the Belkin Rockstar is functioning as i hoped it would.

Awesome headphone splitter!
I've always been a fan of Belkin products and have purchased a variety of different things made by Belkin, and have never been disappointed. These are made very well, are durable, and are priced very reasonably. I bought this because I have a Roku 3 with headphone jack in the remote. I live in a small house, and when my wife and daughter are sleeping it's great to be able to watch TV at a normal volume without disturbing them. If I have someone over and we want to watch a movie, I needed something that I could plug into the remote's headphone jack, and split it so I could plug in more than one set of headphones, and this worked perfectly to do that! My wife and I use them as well when our daughter is sleeping and we want to watch a movie together. You do lose a little bit of volume the more headphones you plug in, but it's not enough to cause any kind of an issue. I am pleased with this splitter and would definitely recommend them.

Does what its supposed to do!
Bought this because me and a friend always try to co-op on single player pc games, and we tend to hangout at the local coffee shop to do so so we needed something both our headphones could connect to so that we don't disturb others too much. It's a rather simple design which is obvious from the picture. It has on built in cord about 3 inches long but luckily comes with a cord that is about 17 inches long to help with distance, the only dilemma is that it takes up one of the 5 slots available. The sound quality is perfect for what our headphones can handle, but I did find it a tad hard to plug them in (if it's just a little loose it won't work) but it's only had a few uses it make just need to go through a bit more.Over all, what I was expecting and exactly what I needed: recommended 0v<)b

I cannot recommend this thing more.
So of course this thing can split and audio single five ways but you can send an audio singe through more than one of those inputs as well. I play guitar and record my stuff, so if I want to do headphones into my amp and then play music through my phone to play along with I can put that through the same signal into my headphones from this guy. Your phone needs to have headphones compatibility however. Also my whole band can hear my mix for our songs on this things since it has literally 5 inputs. Now since the signal is being split it gets quieter every time you add a cable to you that is receiving the signal. So just know you'll have to turn your stuff up the more people are listening at once.

Molto soddisfatto
Funziona bene senza problemi.

Excellent product
As most of you know audio splitters (basic 2 way/cheap variants) tend to spread the volume/loudness when splitting audio so the overall volume is going to be weaker and low volumeThis Belkin splitter really does the job you can connect 5 headphones without any lowering in volume or quality loss or do line-in connectionMy main use case is to share audio signal with my small group of music producers-beat makers or any of my colleague at work who would like to join us in our free time after work and listen to our sampling beat makingThis splitter has excellent sound quality sounds as good as the original audio sourceI connect this to my EP-133 KO II and share the output with others & I let others to jam on my EP-133 it's a lot of fun to share the joy of music technologyThis can easily drive 2 DT 770s 45 Ohm and 80 Ohm plus if more people join they get the same quality as we doEasy to useExcellent value for moneyIt can transmit mono jack or stereo jack doesn't matterI'm very happy with my purchase and I almost forget it has an additional stereo cable when I opened the box I was like wow there's actually an extra cable...I highly recommend this splitter
