I'm so excited that this worked! Buying a new remote was certainly cheaper than buying a new fan. We didn't even have to do anything other than stick a battery in it! I thought we'd have to open the fan casing to do some switching, but nope! Worked great right out of the box.

The new receiver is slightly larger than the original but I was able to fit it into the housing. The directions were easy to follow and it went right in.

Was a quick and easy installation. Coding via the dip switches is easy and is much better than some complex pairing process. They work great, bought 2 and put them on same channel... Works very well.

Existing ceiling fan stopped responding to remote control. Replaced battery in remote which was weak. Remote indicator light functioning, but still no response. So figured it was the receiver. Found replacement receiver, but it was wired for reverse function which my fan did not have. Could probably work by not connecting the missing wire, but wasn't able to discern if it would work with existing remote. I found this combo for only a few dollars more. Would give it 5 stars for all categories, except for installation. Not the fault of this product, but the disassembly and reassembly of the fan itself.

We bought 3 of these as our brand new house was for some reason not built with separate switches for the fan and light. They work great! These were our 3rd sets, trying to find ones that didn't end up syncing with each other. This one has a code you match from the remote to the receiver which works perfect for having multiple fans. Highly recommend this one!The ONLY con is that the receiver is a little bulky so it's hard to get it placed where it needs to be placed but we still managed to make it work

We bought this item to replace a very similar unit that died. The first one we received had an issue with the blue wire being non-functional (see other reviews) and therefore the light wouldn't turn on. Returned it for a replacement which ended up working fine except that it makes loud clicks when turning on or adjusting the speed of the fan. We've decided we can live with the noise as we're committed to this particular style of remote control unit (we can swap remotes with the other Emerson fans in the house) and the price was right. Also, we're tired of fiddling with it. The remotes for these systems are quite ugly. We have a Hampton Bay fan that came with a smaller, sleeker remote but it doesn't have dip switches and it's tricky to find the right spots to press, especially in the dark. This product is better.
