Genuine product that works really great! I dived in to my first wax project this weekend and found it to be really easy to work with! I used a makeup remover wipe to keep my hands from sticking to the wax and that worked pretty well. It stuck to my husbands skin all evening with the help of a thin layer of latex on top of it all. My husband was thrilled at how easy it all came off, and how it was practically pain-free unlike the latex. I look forward to getting to use it again soon, I think it will be possible to create some truly gore infested looks rather easily!!! Excellent product!

This was my first time ever using scar wax, but I really enjoyed it. It is generally easy to work with, or at least a lot easier than I thought it would be. I didn't have any issues with it at all. I would suggest getting a few other items to make things run smoothly though. The Quick Cleanse it mentions on the lid greatly helps with blending things nicely. Spirit Gum helps it to stick to the skin. & The sculpting tools helps me a lot with basic shaping. Playing with this was really fun and I will definitely be ordering more whe I run out. I tried to attach a photo, but it got rejected. I'm assuming it looked too gross. Anyway, great product!

Works as it should. Grant it, when I first bought it, did not know how to properly use and it did not stick to skin well but it is still high quality.

I'm still on a learning curve with advanced FX work, but this scar wax took my abilities to a whole new level. It is easy to work into different designs, and plenty of youtube videos showing tricks. It lasted a lot longer--ability to do more effects--than I thought given the size of the canister. I did effects on myself, friends and others, and only used up about a third of the product this Halloween. Pros Inexpensive Can get many effects out of single purchases Adheres well to skin without adhesive Takes paint and make up well Easy to mold and make very realistic effects Cons Can be a bit sticky when you are working it Stays soft on the skin, so need to be careful to not damage the effect through wear Overall--will use this product again and highly recommend it.

First things first, this is sticky af (yes a put lotion on hands so it doesn't stick BUT EVEN THAT DID NOT HELP) and near impossible to work with. Second, this s*** does not last long. On Halloween (when I wore this) I was working in a haunted house and I had this on (it was sealed with liquid latex) and about an hour in it started to literally fall off, that wasn't fun. Mind you I didn't touch it at all, I'm not that stupid, and I have worked with SPFX before (I even tested this before Halloween). In the end, I had high expectations and this product didn't exceed them.

I used this for a fairly large nose wound that I had to create for a short film that I made, and this stuff worked great! I definitely suggest using spirit gum when using this as it doesn't stay on very well without it. Also, coat your fingers and any tools you use with petroleum jelly and keep reapplying so that the wax doesn't stick to your hands. This stuff is pliable and soft so don't expect it to last all day.

If you've never used scar wax, look into it first. This stuff is cheap and molds easily, but it's also notoriously sticky and uncomfortable. Using vaseline on your fingers will help, but I really only use it for practice. If you want the best sfx product for creating realistic wounds, I reccomend 3rd Degree, but it is really expensive. If you want a budget friendly option for practice or for looks that will not be worn very long, this is a good option.
