Cute little machine
Works great! I love how you can plug it in via micro usb and works without the use of batteries. That’s a big plus. Game works great and makes a great decoration piece

NOT the arcade version!!
As others have pointed out, this is an NES PORT of Rolling Thunder, not the arcade version. I gave this to a friend as a gift, and I really wish I had read more carefully. He didn't seem to mind, but I felt kind of embarrassed. Why on earth would they put the NES port in an arcade cabinet... especially when the multi-game version by the same company has the full arcade version? Maybe to match the price point of their other games, they had to cheap out on the display or something? I gladly would have paid a little more for the "real" version!

Review for MyArcade "Rolling Thunder" by Tegen / Atari / Namco
When Rolling Thunder was announced as a new My Arcade toy I was very excited. I enjoyed this oddly shaped Tegen (Atari) NES cartridge as a little kid. I spent so many hours playing this even though I could never get past the fire walkers in level 4. That didn't change, I still can't complete level 4, however what did change is how this game looks. The fine people at My Arcade could not nail the emulation on this. The screen tearing is absolutly terrible. The game is playable, sure, but it looks horrible. I'm keeping it despite this as I really like the game and I don't feel like replacing and re-soldering the cartridge connector on my real NES in order to play it. However unless if your a hardcore Rolling Thunder fan, your going to hate this toy. My Arcade also nailed screen tearing on the Data East tabletop player, specifically in Breakthrough however this Rolling Thunder is far worse! What bothers me is that My Arcade does not care about its customers, they don't respond to emails, and when they do have a fix, they won't compensate anyone who had a defective unit (as I've read in posts on here). This is a shame as I really think they have a nice niche product that adults like myself really enjoy. I've collected most of these tabletop games, I think for the most part they're neat. I just wish they didn't mod the ROM to have a new copywrite date, this usually ends up causing glitches that the game didn't have in the first place and in this case, really bad screen tearing.

A great blast of nostalgia
This mini arcade machine is larger than some others, making it much easier to use. The machine looks just like the original arcade cabinet, stickers and graphics look great.Powers up with a USB cable or batteries and the coin slot lights up, pressing it starts the game which is a nice touch. The game looks and plays just like the arcade and is great fun. The controls are good, the removable joystick is nice if you prefer to just use the dpad, and the buttons are big and positioned well enough for adult fingers to use easily.
