We wasted about half of our package with broken items before I finally went online and discovered that all the experienced polymer clay crafters are baking at 275 for 1 hour. The trick is to put something between the clay and the tray, like a couple of manilla folders, and then tent it over the top with aluminum foil (an aluminum lasagne tray works perfectly). This will keep it from burning. The longer bake time will make the little plastic particles melt together and create a flexible product, not one that breaks easily. And yes, you can rebake - I did after I learned about the longer baking time. **Q: Is this clay lightweight?** A: Polymer clay is not light weight when making larger items, but making small pendants and earrings out of the clay the answer is yes.
