## Description

MBT shoes are physiological footwear--the first footwear that has a positive effect on the entire body. MBT stands for "Masai Barefoot Technology." Their innovative design includes a multi-layered, curved sole which makes for a unique and rewarding walking experience. The key to MBT is its patented sole structure. The shank, PU midsole with Pivot and the Masai Sensor create a soft surface that is akin to walking barefoot on springy moss or on a sandy beach. This creates a natural instability underfoot, which activates the supporting muscle system and has positive effects on the entire body. Wearing MBTs significantly improves your gait and posture and relieves pressure on your joints and back. It also exercises a large number of muscles, whether you're walking or standing. This, in turn, stimulates your metabolism, burns extra calories and speeds up muscle regeneration. In addition, MBTs can have a firming effect on abdominal, leg and buttock muscles. Wearing MBT shoes can also be a therapeutic tool for back, hip, leg and foot problems. At MBT they don't believe in shoes. They believe in footwear that makes you better from the ground up.

Review: MBT: Incredible Sandal for Foot Disorders - Virtually every aspect of this sandal is adjustable so very wide feet can be accommodated without purchasing a shoe the size of a canoe. I had plantar fasciitis that was so bad I had to crawl to the bathroom in the morning after being off my feet all night. I pronated badly and wore out normal shoes in record time. I went to a shoe store, nearly 20-years ago, that specialized in foot disorders and they suggested the MBT dress shoes and sandals. I purchased one pair of nice looking dress shoes (they were expensive) and within weeks, much of the foot pain had subsided. I purchased more dress shoes and they were the only shoes I ever wore -- much less expensive than a podiatrist. Within a few weeks I was walking normally and had zero foot pain. Now in retirement, I wear MBT sandals and have several pairs -- I absolutely swear by them and recommend them to anyone if what I have written sounds familiar. I will not own any other brand. Note: they take a little getting used to . . . they are designed to have you walking correctly. Invest in them; give them a chance, you will be hooked.
Review: Lower B ack Pain Gone - So far (4 weeks) my lower back pain has gone. No cushioning. I had back pain with my squishy Hoka's & Teva's. Caveat - You will not get the full rolling action unless you "stride" rather than just walk. I am doing stretching exercises for my calf muscles so I can rotate my feet higher.

## Features

- MBT LEVEL 2 ROCKER: Features a medium-strong sole curve providing ample cushioning and muscle activation for all day everyday wear
- ROCKER BOTTOM SHOE: From the point your heel first hits the ground until your toes leave it, the curved sole of the MBT rocker shoe matches the natural movement of your foot while giving the same stability as a traditional walking shoe
- TECHNOLOGY IN THE SHOE: MBT SensorTechnology is the bottom unit component that is located between the midsole and the outsole and with its soft PU compound creates the specific functionality of the MBT sole. The PivotAxis Technology under the midfoot promotes balance and a natural rolling movement that activates muscles required for good posture
- CREATED WITH STABILITY IN MIND: The stability of the MBT shoe is identical to any high-quality walking shoe and the only roll you feel is from your heel to your toes. There is no side to side roll so run or walk with confidence
- APMA CERTIFIED: With a seal of acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), MBT shoes support overall foot health, whether you're walking, running, or standing all day on the job. Provides good arch support to help take care of your long-term foot health and helps improve balance and posture by activating your postural muscles

*by I***U on February 28, 2016*

I've worn MBT's for 10 years and love them. I can no longer find them in our local shoe stores so found them online. When these arrived I could immediately tell the normal MBT quality was no longer there. Cheaper construction, cheaper materials, not near as comfortable and nowhere near as supportive in the arch like previous sandals. This will probably be my last pair. I'm on the hunt for something comparable now. That's too bad too. Because I don't mind to pay top dollar for a top shoe at $180.00 but not for this reduced quality
