You can still see the repaired area when you look closely. It's not a magic eraser that makes the glass flawless again, but it greatly minimizes the visibility and, crucially, reinforces the area. Summary: If you have a small chip or starburst and your main goal is to prevent it from spreading and turning into an expensive replacement job, this Rain-X kit is a great, reliable, and quick solution. It was a worthwhile investment that saved my windshield from getting worse during the winter. Just remember that it’s a repair, not an un-do button!

I had both a chip and a small bullseye in my windshield and this stuff repaired both!!! This kit is so easy to use. The resin is actually very forgiving. It is runny, but it wipes up well with just paper towel. I did get a little nervous when it came time to scrape the cured resin off of the windshield with the razor blade, but it came out just fine!!! You just have to keep scraping until there is no more white cast showing on the glass. It might seem like you’re scratching the glass but it’s really just the excess cured resin residue. I’m so happy with the results!!!

I used the Rain-X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit on a windshield crack, and it worked okay, but it wasn't quite as quick and easy as I expected. I had to repeat the process multiple times before I was satisfied with the results, and the crack was still somewhat visible afterward. In my experience, the resin itself seemed to do most of the work, while the included applicator tool was a bit cumbersome to use. I actually found it easier to focus on getting the resin into the crack than relying on the tool setup. That said, it did help improve the appearance of the damage and may help prevent the crack from spreading further. For small chips and cracks, it's worth trying before paying for a professional repair, just be prepared to spend some extra time and possibly apply it more than once.

Had a windshield crack both inside and outside piece of glass. I would dubious that this would work but for the price it was worth a shot. I applied to the outside as directed on a long crack. It totally disappeared. I could not believe it. The inside however did not work so well. Not a product issue per se but rather the design of the bottle sis not allow for upward pressure into the crack as the crack was low and too close to the dash to get my hands in while holding and squeezing the bottle. I not an engineer so not sure how that could be improved. Maybe a more flexible tube instead of bottle.

Works well for repairing chips and stopping surrounding cracks from spreading. Don’t expect the chip to disappear completely. this is a repair solution, not a cosmetic touch-up. Overall, a good product that did exactly what it was designed to do.

I got this after watching project farm on YouTube. I did try the other projects mentioned in the video that were rated better. This is the product I came back to though. The reusability is a huge plus for me. I get random small chips from driving on the freeway and I just want a way to patch them quickly without needing the perfect repair. I've gotten multiple ones and the applicator included seem kinda hit or miss. I have one that adheres well to my car and that's the one I keep using. The newer ones I get don't seem to seal as well due to differences in the way the plastic is formed I suspect.

I bought this after a rock on the highway tagged my windshield driving back from a late dev shift. Tiny chip, but it caught my eye every time and was starting to stress me out. The kit feels a bit like doing a science experiment on your car, which i weirdly enjoyed. I followed the steps, used my phone flashlight to line everything up, then let it cure in the afternoon sun. The white star lines faded a lot and now I barely notice them. Made me really glad I didnt schedule an expensive glass replacement.

Das Ergebnis war gut. Ich habe die Anweisungen im YouTube-Video befolgt und keine UV-Lampe verwendet. Ich habe tatsächlich nur fünf bis sechs Tropfen benutzt. Hoffentlich brauche ich es später nicht mehr. :)

Applicato secondo le istruzioni, applicato un foglietto protettivo, fatto asciugare e ripulito con la lametta tenuta a 45°. Mia moglie non è più stata in grado di identificare il danno. Veramente efficace.

Bonjour. J'ai utilisé dans mon cas ce produit pour un impact rond avec une mini fissure 0.5 mm pas plus. J'ai respecté scrupuleusement la notice ( qui est en anglais et que j'ai donc traduit pour ne pas faire de bêtises ). Si l'on respecte les consignes qui sont au passage très simple tous se passe bien. La résine sèche très bien si l'on respecte tjr les consignes. Moi mis au soleil et très bien. Mon impact et très bien réparer on le vois maintenant plus comparer au reste des petit coup du quotidien sur le pare-brise. Et pour avoir déjà fait réparer des impacts le resultat et largement équivalent. Reste a juger sur la durée. Et je répète bien traduire la notice pour être efficace. Quand a la quantité de résine c'est très correct pour ma part. Donc par rapport à mon expérience je ne peut que recommander ce produit. Salut
