Just what I needed to reduce noise and use for triggers
I bought mesh heads for the Evans Sensory Percussion system but found that I enjoy playing on these heads even when not running the module. I have a house full with the wife and kids often getting annoyed when I have the music loud while I play. I bought the Sensory Percussion kit to allow me to practice, play and record without disrupting the family. I initially used the system on standard heads but realized mesh heads are a great option for clean electronic sound inputs while recording. I tend to want to write and record in the middle of the night and I can now do that without waking everyone up.

Very durable
I have had this head for around two years. I keep my head at a very high tension and play it with mostly marching sticks. There is no point in babying this head. Play it at full 12" heights and above and it will hold up to the pounding without the volume. This head has held up much better than its Remo counterpart on another drum that I have. I would recommend these heads to anyone.
