This InSinkErator Badger 5 disposal was a fantastic purchase. I had been pricing these at Home Depot and this one was substantially cheaper for the exact same model, especially with the included power cord. That alone made it an easy decision. Installation was straightforward and everything arrived packaged extremely well with no dents, damage, or missing parts. The unit feels solid and well made, and it runs much quieter than the older disposal it replaced. Plenty of power for normal kitchen use and it handles food waste without any issues. Very happy with the value on this one. Great price, trusted brand, fast shipping, and much better overall deal than buying locally.

Very easy to install and works well in grinding up small food items like veggies or things that get past our sink trap. Probably wouldn't do too well with starches, but you're not really supposed to put starch down a garbage disposal. The motor is very quiet, but the biggest upside of this is its slim size. Its depth is only about 6.5", so it made it a lot easier to install than the 3/4 horsepower disposals because this allowed us to not have to cut some of our plumbing and install it neatly instead.

My garbage disposal (InSinkErator Badger 1, 1/3hwp, 7 years old) started leaking this weekend and after watching some you tube videos, I discovered the issue was corrosion and cracks on the bottom plate of the disposal. I was hoping I could fix it with JB Weld and seal it, however once getting it apart and to the issue, the corrosion was much worse than the ones from the videos and even after extensive cleaning, it was still really disgusting. So, I replaced it with this InSinkErator Badger 5, 1/2hwp for a little more power. Same day delivery and it was a very quick and simple process! Since I already had the old one off, and the bracket attached to the sink was the same, it took less than 10 minutes to install the new one and hook it up. I have no prior experience with this, and this was my first attempt at anything plumbing, so it really is "Easy Installation"! While having the old one off, I also took off all of the other pipes and cleaned them out as well, as they were really gross and grimey. I am so glad this process was much easier than I expected and was able save a lot of money by doing it myself! IMPORTANT: Remember to remove the dishwasher knockout plug before installing, if you have a dishwasher, otherwise, it is blocked and water will be everywhere! I highly recommend this product and brand. Excellent quality, easy to replace and Made in the USA!

It's the kind of installation that intimidates novices like me, but it was honestly over before before I knew it. The only difficult part was finding the snap ring, if you're not used to them. Getting it off the old one was easy, but to get the new one on I had to use a little bolt to hold the ends apart while I got it in place. I'm knocking off a star for the dishwasher connection plug. To use this feature, you have to stick a screwdriver or something in a tube and hammer out a plastic plug, then fish out the plug. I couldn't couldn't find it to fish it out so i figured it had fallen out, but when I finally turned it on, it was in there. It was incredibly difficult to get out until I pulled out a random industrial endoscope I bought last year on impulse and found it stick to the side. Like... really? you couldn't just have a screw-on cap with a gasket? You couldn't think of ANY solution that didn't require fishing a little plastic disc out of the disposal innards? This should have been a 30-second step but instead it took up fully half my installation time. The other annoyance, confirming the lost star, is not including plumber's putty. For a few cents they could include a little packet of plumber's putty. Instead I had to take a separate trip to a hardware store and buy enough putty to install at least 50 of these even though it's unlikely I'll ever use it again. I'm sure they used to include it and dropped it as a cost-cutting measure, and I think that was a bad call. Apart from that, it was an easy and seamless process.

Our original Badger InSinkErator ate itself apart after about 20 years of use. What to do? Buy the exact same one (updated and improved, of course) because it fit perfectly with no plumbing needed and very little effort. Good on ya, InSinkErator for keeping a good product going and making it easy for owners to fix things themsleves, it was easy to remove, install and now the new one is much quieter!

Had it replaced by a plumber! Great garbage disposal and cheaper than local big box stores!

Quiet and ‘easy’ to install. Picked this because it’s just a more powerful version of the one that died - and Carrie’s a longer warranty. Installation could only have been easier if garbage disposals didn’t reside under sinks in dark cabinets!

Product is horrible and couldn’t get in touch with th seller

this seems to be american with american plugs and so on. i have had 2 electricians to look at it and they won't fit it becauase it works on 110 volts not 240 here in england. If it is fitted the current here will make it blow. so unfortunately i am sending it back.

Took a little while to get here but so worth it given the price! Best deal I’ve found so far, about half the the price from this seller! It’s installed and works like a charm, this thing is a beast! Highly recommend!

Si libera gratamente de los desperdicios orgánicos no deseados porque algunos son de buen uso pero hay otros que realmente no. Funciona muy bien y es muy práctico siguiendo las instrucciones de operación en el orden correcto. El ruido no es incómodo y tiene muy buena potencia para triturar. Yo solicité la instalación a un plomero y realmente me dejó satisfecho. Lo instaló en 2 1/2 hrs con todo y botón de aire y contacto bajo la tarja.
