I bought it after reading about a well known makeup artist who swears by it. I have dehydrated, sensitive, breakout prone skin and this cream works great for me. I use it as part of regular skin care (interchangeably with many other moisturizers) on my face, body, hands and feet and it also worked great as a dewy moisturizer before makeup. I would describe this as medium consistency. I use moisturizer much thinner and much heavier. Though you can definitely feel it on your face after applying, I don’t find it to be a heavy, suffocating, mask like feeling that some moisturizers leave behind. I have read in other reviews that it caused breakouts for some. I also worried about breakouts, which I can be prone to, and I have pretty sensitive skin. It, however, didn’t cause any irritation for me. I also don’t use it consistently everyday. I’d definitely research the ingredient list as there are a lot. Many of them are quite stellar, but all them you should research. It does have added fragrance and it is strong. In fact, the smell alone is the source of many of its bad reviews and fragrance is a source of irritation for many including myself. This also doesn’t cause any pilling under foundation as I’ve read a few reviews say. Everyone’s skin is different, however and I certainly have not tried every foundation. If you like all the ingredients and you can get past the smell, this is a fine moisturizer, one of the cheapest for the quantity!!!! It’s easy to pretend that my face doesn’t smell like old lady considering the price and the way it makes my skin feel. I can see how this would be a deterrent for some though. Review: Great body cream - My hubby's favorite easy to apply skin cream. Nicely scented not strong and quite effective moisturization. We were in temporary housing where they had electric blower heater. My elbows were so dry and scaly. I started to apply this every hour and within 1 day, they were back to normal. I used it daily after that and it kept my skin protected from the dryness of the electric blower generated heat. Great for feet too.
