No adjustment necessary for my electric violin
I didn't want to waste my luthier's time fitting a bridge for my cheap little practice electric violin (I like to practice late at night, and I have unforgiving neighbors after midnight ;)), so I opted for a semi carved bridge blank. Despite the feet already coming pre-carved and the bridge slot being flat, it fit perfectly. The wood is of excellent quality and the string grooves are the right height for my violin, so no other adjustments were needed. If you have a cheap electric violin like the Tower Strings brand sold by Fiddlerman, or a cheap student violin, this can be a quick and relatively easy installation. Just be VERY careful with an acoustic violin, that your sound post doesn't topple over in the process. For anything more expensive than, say, $300 - even an electric violin, I'd still take it to a luthier, but I can recommend this bridge even in that case. I can't speak to its effect on sound quality unfortunately, because e-v's without an acoustic body sound drastically different than an acoustic violin for obvious reasons, but for feel and playability? It's aces for me.

Very good for what it is, will need fitting.
They're quite nice, but for most violins, will be too tall and too thick. I use cloth-backed sandpaper gently resting on the violin (and facing UP) to fit the curve of the feet, then draw lines down to mark the new string notch locations, and sand the bridge lower. Cut the new sting nocks, and sand the bridge about 0.5 to 1mm thinner for most violins, and you'll have a pretty adequate basic setup. There's years of skills and specifics, and done violins will need different, but that will get the basics done.

I can confidently throw away that little plastic e string sleeve!
Over time I've bought several of these Teller bridges with the ebony e string inserts. It takes a bit of time to fit the feet, thin down the body and adjust the top curve but I think it is worth the effort. Most people use the little plastic e string sleeve to "protect" the bridge. I've found that there isn't any perceptible advantage to that sleeve when one uses these bridges. The ebony insert appears to make them less susceptible to grooving than the plain bridges. So when I change my strings I take off the little e string sleeve.

Mediocre
light weight but works reasonably well. Not the Best and not the Worst.

Nice
I purchased this for my new violin because the bridge that came with it was not of good quality. This was easy to install and required little sanding and adjustments. I'm very happy with the product.
