Surprisingly effective and easy to use
This is actually my second time buying these because they worked so well the first time. I just pop a little bit of beer in them and the slugs go straight for it. It’s such a simple solution and has made a big difference in my garden. They’re really easy to set up—no mess, no fuss—and I love that they’re disposable so you don’t have to deal with anything unpleasant afterwards. I’ve been using them around my seedlings and flowers and I’ve noticed far less damage since putting them out. If slugs are ruining your plants, these are definitely worth trying. I always keep a few on hand now during the warmer months. Great little product that does exactly what it promises.

Don't use rhubarb and custard beer🤢
Work well with beer they like, some beers they don't like. Watched a really big slug reach in for long drink then slowly slime in, turn round and slime out again! I encouraged it back in with a stick! Filled up nicely with smaller slugs though.

Excellent design slug pubs
Fantastic product! Hygienic method of making slug pubs. Simple , effective no fuss design. After one night each trap had plenty of visitors. Great value, I will be buying more!

Worked really well at first!
And fascinating seeing all the slugs dying happy in their drunken hazes. But then it stopped working...Maybe the slugs all shouted out a warning as they died i dunno...But also....Amazon...you want marks out of five for flavour? Is that what I was doing wrong? Not eating the mouldy slugs (barf...)

Poor quality seams are leaky
Poor quality. The seams are faulty so the beer just drips over time. They aren't big enough so you realise immediately, so you go ahead only to put it out. First few mornings when there was no liquid I thought it had all evaporated. Once I realised they were slowly dripping out then I tested more than 10 of them and all faulty.

Great if used correctly, I didn't put enough beer the first couple of times but once I did it was absolutely horrendous, I drop some slug pellets in the bottoms aswell so they dont get out if it dries up. Just wear disposable gloves and throw straight into black sack and into dustbin, you can plan it strategically before bin day so you dont have to worry about them sitting in the bin so long. Not for the faint hearted lol

Good
These little beauties worked fantastic I must have bagged 200 slugs but at least they went happily. Some of the seams in the bags leaked I wasted a few tins of beer but the majority were fine. I find it very expensive even using the cheapest beer because you need a fair bit for the slugs to crawl into but a friend offered me a recipe using yeast which she uses so Im going to try that instead. If anyone is interested this is option B instead of beer. - Ingredients: 1 cup water 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp dry yeast Instructions: Throw everything into a jar and mix it together. (You can double or triple this recipe depending on the size of your flower beds It’s best to mix up a fresh batch each time you need it). Good luck at least with this option you wont have to watch your husband cry when you use his beer for garden bugs.
