Awesomely organic
Made so many treats this past holiday - including the cranberry viral recipe! I absolutely love this Wholesome Organic Powdered Sugar. It has a smooth, fine texture that dissolves beautifully in frostings, glazes, and baked goods. The flavor is clean and slightly mellow—not overly sweet or chalky like some conventional powdered sugars.

Sweet Finishing Touch for Pancakes
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This powdered sugar is light, fine, and melts beautifully over warm pancakes. It adds the perfect touch of sweetness and makes any breakfast look and taste just a bit more special. Great for dusting or mixing into syrups and glazes.

Sweet Stuff!
Seems to work really well for dusting and icings. Our go to brand, some others get a weird gooeyness, probably form excess cornstarch.

Way too over priced.
Love this product but so over priced it is hard to enjoy. Yes I had a choice not to buy it but have to pay 5 times the price for it because it is vegan? Should be costing less because less process. I guess and long as we keep buying it at the price gouge prices they will continue to over charge. The product is delicious but it tastes the same as the grocery store stuff.

Makes American buttercream that is far less gritty and sweet than that made with regular icing sugar, because it has tapioca starch rather than corn starch. It is quite expensive in comparison, but for vanilla buttercream, it is the best. Not so important for chocolate buttercream because the cocoa cuts the sweetness anyway.

We ordered 3 of these packages. They all came in today- one of them smelt like a lavender laundry soap on the outside so I opened it to see if the smell permeated to the inside- sure enough it did. The other two seem okay, but the one is definitely unusable. I'm wondering if it was stored beside some kind of scented soap item in the warehouse- the smell is so strong I first wondered if soap was accidentally placed inside the bag somehow...it is VERY strong. I don't know how to get a hold of Amazon to hopefully get it replaced, but atleast the one whole bag will be going in the garbage. EDITED TO ADD: I wound up opening the other two bags and they both also had a faint version of that same smell- so I threw all three in the garbage. Such a shame- a waste of money and resources. Whatever they stored it beside, I suggest they store food items away from scented/soap items.

I had given up on icing sugar. Couldn't stand the soapy undertones (from the cornstarch) or the grittiness of the buttercreams. But making European buttercreams is such a hassle and they don't even taste that great to me unless they have chocolate in them. This icing sugar changes all of that. It is very lumpy so there is the hassle of sifting it and it's not easy. You need a spoon to help break up the lumps. However, it's worth it because it makes a super silky simple buttercream. Find a recipe with a lower ratio of sugar and you will get a delicious not too sweet buttercream. And the taste is fantastic. Not a hint of that soapy cornstarch taste so you can use it alone too.
