And serves it on a silver tray with a vase of rosebuds! (But you have to buy that add-on feature...) **Q: Tested several times by walking exactly 100 steps. everytime it read around 150, despite me changing the stride length from 30" all the way up to 50".** A: My pedometer is accurate to 1 or 2 steps per 100 when I use the clip on my belt. But I am overweight and it pops off when I use the clip. It is supposed to work in your pocket, but when I put it there it is always over by 15% to 50% (pedometer will say 115, 120, 130, 140, even as high as 150 per 100 steps walked. BTW, this has NOTHING to do with stride length. The stride length is important for measuring miles/kilometers accurately. For me it it is 29 inches, or 1185 steps per mile. If you don't measure your stride length accurately the distance in miles or kilometers will be wrong, even if the number of steps is accurate (as it is for me when I clip it on my belt). I will buy another pedometer that I can use in my pocket or a bag. I don't know if the lanyard works, because I lost it somehow and don't see ow to fasten it on the pedometer anyway. ;-) **Q: Does this have wireless communication capabilities? My husband works at a facility where they can't have Bluetooth or wifi.** A: This does not have any communication capabilities whatsoever. It is a traditional pedometer. The most high tech component is the battery! **Q: does it go around your wrist** A: It does not go around the wrist. It can be worn around the neck, on the belt or be placed in any pocket (pants or shirt). It was pretty easy to set up and seems pretty accurate. Much better than I had imagined. I would like to share a quick story.On the day I received it, I set it up and clipped it to my waist and couldn't wait to use it at work. I'm a nurse and walk a lot during my shift. At some point during the night, I had to use the facilities and thought, "just watch this thing fall in the toilet". So, of course, that is exactly what happened. Almost as if I willed it. Fortunately, the water was clean, so I grabbed it up as quick as I could, rinsed it in the sink, rubbed a little soap on it, rinsed it again and followed that up with a couple alcohol wipes. Then a couple more cleaning wipes. I could see water sloshing around the screen, and it was just doing its own thing, resetting steps, or not counting them at all. The clock even stopped so the time was off. I was pretty upset with myself, figuring I just wasted money and would probably not be able to return it since it was my fault. I shoved it in my pocket and tried not to dwell on it for the rest of my shift. In the morning, as I was walking the car and decided to take a look at it to see if it was working at all. The screen was a little fogged but the water seemed to have drained out. It also seemed to be counting my steps. I put it back in my pocket and went home thinking maybe if it dries out more... I am happy to report that it is now working perfectly. I could not be happier. This is a quality product at a great price. I would not hesitate to rate this 5 stars and buy again in the future. It seems to work great. It has a good menu and I can even check my progress when I am walking in bright sunshine. I don’t know exactly how accurate it is, but will check this soon on a mile track.
