De'Longhi Dinamica Espresso Machine, White - Automatic Bean-to-Cup Brewing, Built-In Steel Burr Grinder & Manual Frother - One-Touch Hot & Iced Coffee - Easy Cleanup

I’ve had this machine since 2020 and overall, I really like it. There are a few things that are annoying but overall I’d buy it again. The water tank is small and the machine rinses every time you turn it on AND off so you end up filling the tank more frequently. Previous machines I had only rinsed once. The drip tray can’t be taken out while making espresso so if you’re using a taller cup (think a Starbucks venti size), it won’t fit and you have to hold it at an angle. Yes, you can use little shot glasses but when you transfer the shots to your glass, you lose the crema. The only other annoying thing for me is that coffee grounds end up at the bottom back of the machine. The only way to access them is to pull the drip tray out and use a paintbrush to sweep them out. I also need a flashlight to see them because it’s really dark in the back. I’m not sure grinds are supposed to be accumulating there but it’s not hurting anything, just annoying. Other than those things, the machine works great and makes delicious espresso. You can make 2 shots at a time which is a nice time saver. The milk frother never worked well for me. It might work if you’re not using much milk and it’s not super cold but for my purposes, it never got the milk hot. I bought an automatic frother to use instead which is fine with me because I can walk away and do something else while it’s frothing.

Back with my seven year review update... This is a good, lower cost, bean-to-cup machine that is a great choice if you do not make a lot of milk-based drinks (if you do, look to upgrade to a machine with integrated milk dispenser). It suffers from having counter-intuitive controls for the more complex functions and no digital read-out to provide instructions. You will need to have your manual handy to make adjustments or manage cleaning cycles. Update after SEVEN years! First, it is still going strong, absolutely zero problems, zero maintenance after seven years and roughly 11,000 cups. Well deserving of a five star review. The little annoyances re the manual etc. are just no big deal. Coffee is excellent and it has proven to be a reliable friend each morning! Longer, two part review: 1) vs the k-cup machines 2) vs other superautos Vs the Keurig If you are one of those people who still use the antiquated k-cup style machines, just stop. This machine is a great alternative that will give you better coffee, save you at least $1,000 over its lifetime, and save the environment from you dumping 10,000 useless plastic containers into the trash. (See bottom for cost savings.) There is really no comparison between the coffee quality - this is VASTLY better tasting coffee. So you get better coffee for less money. Vs other SuperAutos This is our fourth superauto machine (home and office). We have previously owned Gaggia/Saeco machines. We were looking for a simpler machine this time because we rarely make milk drinks which is the main difference between this and the more expensive models. Strengths: Simple to operate on the basic coffee making functions Very fast warm-up time Pretty good crema (not great but good) Low cost Lots of adjustability in temperature, grind size, coffee dosage, and drink length Easy clean-up with removable infuser Weaknesses: With no display screen, adjusting the settings or performing basic maintenance functions is counter-intutitive to say the least (to descale “Press and hold the [bean] icon (B8) until the [two lines with little triangles] light (B5) and the ESC and OK icons light up…” you get the idea). The manual that came with the machine was not very good – download the more complete manual from the web site (maybe ours was missing?) – to get detailed instructions on how to adjust things (be warned, the manual on the Delonghi site is missing illustrations it says it has!) If you can live with this annoyance, it makes good coffee and works well for the price. Fit & Finish One of the reasons we went with the DeLonghi instead of the Saeco/Gaggia is that this machine fit better into the décor of the kitchen. It is maddening that nearly all other manufacturers put a white or stainless front on their machines but the rest of the appliance is gray or black. The white version that we bought is white all the way around the appliance so it does not stick out like an eyesore in our white kitchen. The machine is solidly put together and everything fits well. Cost vs K-Cups Compare the cost of 12.5 g net weight of the coffee in a k-cup which runs up to 70 cents for quality brands and 35 cents for the cheap stuff, to the cost of 12.5 g of good quality whole bean coffee at 20-25 cents (Lavazza Super Crema is our preferred daily brand). Multiply the difference by 10,000 cups which this machine should easily deliver before needing repairs (e.g. 5 cups a day for 5 years). At a 20 cents per cup savings this machine will be $2,000 cheaper over its first five years. (n.b. you will probably use less than 12.5 g per cup if you are used to K-cups because this machine is more effective at extracting the coffee.) And the coffee quality on this is MUCH better.

The machine is a good value for money. I bought because I was looking for a white one. Didn't want to spend double the price or more. It is very easy to clean and operate. Everything is positive so far until you start making coffee. It is very diluted. no flavor. Even at maximum strength. I gathered, even before buying it, that most of the current reviews are fake but went ahead with the purchase . The summary is that it is a good machine as an entry level but not good enough for a coffee taster expert.

Absolutely crazy unit. It will make coffee, you may have to hit the 2x button and hit the largest cup. That will fill up almost half a coffee cup. If you want a full cup, you'll have to do it twice. Overall this machine does it all, just need patience. It's not keurig, or an nespresso or ninja whatever, it's a full blown espresso machine you can make everything with! Flat whites, cappacino (spelling?) mocha's whatever. Flat white and Latte's are what I like so I make those. The beans auto grind, using medium beans and the default setting. This has been great so far (1 week, 2 cups a day). The grinds get dumped into a little container, so you gotta empty that pretty often. Also, water use is very high on this thing. You turn on machine, it will spit out a quarter cup of water cleaning nozzles, so keep a cup or metal jug frother under there and dump and rinse everytime. Steaming - yes, it will steam milk and get it hot fairly quickly - takes some practice to swirl around but it will be good. I've had nespresso, ninja coffee, keurig. These are all terrible basically in comparison. Only one remotely close is Ninja and that's just a standard coffee pot. This machine makes a mountain of difference, you can't even compare or begin to think. Starbucks flat white would be a fair comparison, and it's so damn good you'd fool someone into thinking it came from there. I made drinks for people and it was "Wow, this is damn good, what you using to make this?" It's quite the conversation piece. LIttle bastard is expensive, but just know more water will be used, WHOLE BEANS medium roast coffee will be used quicker too, you'll plow through beans quicker because of how espresso works. You'll also not mind this because spending 5-9$ on one fancy coffee ,I think if you are daily this is going to add up fast. 200 days - work year basically give or take a lot or little - 5 bucks a day would be 1000$ for the year. So this machine is roughly half that. There you go.

My last several years have been spent waking up, pressing the power button on the De'Longhi Prima Donna De Luxe, and starting my day. Next came COVID and a Prima Donna that was leaking water into the coffee grounds bin and it is several years old. I'd gladly get it repaired, and still may, but had to move on... for now... to this. The decision was not taken lightly. I went through all the stages of grief at least twice, tried pourover, French Press, pourover style drip, Moka Pot-- all which got me through until I could make a decision on what to do. I'm thankful this is the biggest problem in my life currently. I spent so much time researching that Amazon started offering me $50 off of one model and $200 off of this model just to make me make a decision and go away, I think. I finally did. This was the decision. I looked at all the brands in superautomatic including Philips, Miele, Saeco (Philips), Jura, Breville (which I've had great experiences with in other home appliances). Why did I choose this one? I had a really good experience with my Prima Donna De Luxe. I liked how the maintenance and cleaning were minimal, automation was maximum and it really didn't have any things due to design or functionality that "annoyed" me or that I wished I could change. We coexisted well and so with this one. So now on to the new one! It's not all good, but it is what it is. Here we go: Unboxing: Very similar experience. Premium packaging and materials, book, quick start guide and and an envelope. Enticing offer to register to get an extra year of warranty. I already bought a 3/4 year warranty with Amazon in addition so I don't end up in a situation like I did with the De Luxe. Startup / Setup: The unit is fully assembled. There are no parts that you need to figure out nor put together. The first time load of water and rinse did have a hiccup. Somehow I missed the instruction to turn the handle at the end of the rinse cycle finishing so I didn't exit the "first time rinse" cycle for three tries. I finally figured it out. Usage: While the interface on this one is visual with images and buttons and my Prima Donna De Luxe was fully a digital interface with buttons I had no problems making the jump and have yet to need to get out the book to figure out what I'm doing, even though I have a new feature here being the cold brew option. That may be the single feature that made me hop to this model from the Magnifica S or the others I was considering, which included the Philips Carina 1200, and Magnifica. Back to usage... The coffee bean fill area has a lid that is removable without a lid that closes over it with hinges, like the Prima Donna S De Luxe. I prefer this simpler design. The beans often would get stuck in the hinge area or in areas where they shouldn't be and I was constantly crushing a bean and having a mess to clean up. This simplification is either a step down standard or an improvement, and I prefer it. The drip tray is very similar to the design I had on the Prima Donna S De Luxe, though clearly the metal is far thinner. It looks fine but it's a noticeable step down in quality. Functionality is the same, though this unit is messy! The rinse water doesn't make its way nicely down through the drain holes and sometimes tends to splatter all over the grill and even onto the counter. Sometimes it's better than others and that I don't really understand and haven't had time to reserach/contact to ask about. I appreciate that the water bin is also front load, something that De'Longhi really pioneered and others followed, and while this unit holds 8 ounces less water than the De Luxe, I often found myself emptying the water out on it to refresh it. Losing the 8 ounces has not impacted my day to day routines. The "sights and sounds" and especially the sounds feel familiar. The rinsing, grinding, pre-infusion and brewing all sounds very similar. Small differences but "just like home" from a previous De'Longhi. I do notice that this unit will brew more than once for larger orders rather than a single brew on the old unit. I didn't use all of the functionality very often on the De Luxe. I never used the cup warmer, I rarely used the Latte Crema system though I enjoyed it when I did, so I struggled with where in the market that would take me-- to the very low end where you have units that don't even hold a water filter, or the very high end again like the De Luxe with a far higher price tag for features I rarely used. I did really have a hard time parting ways with the brushed metal and digital display. It had a "Cyber Truck" design before the Cyber Truck existed. I'm pleased with the taste of what it brews for me, with the feature set it has, and I do enjoy the iced coffee functionality. The taste of the coffee is significantly different than simply icing brewed coffee and pouring it over ice. I will probably still look into getting my De Luxe repaired, but in light of things I'm pleased to have made it past my mourning period, exporation of other options and to settle back in a new place. Recommended only with reservation about the messy rinse cycle situation (photo attached) I'm sure there were other good competitive models that would have made me just as happy but there's something to be said for a brand that you've had a good experience with and whose logistics and "how it works" brings value to the decision: known and trusted vs unknown. I was happy enough to go again with what I know, trust and like with De'Longhi.

I have had a manual espresso machine from Saeco for years and had used it on and off, as it was a bit frustrating. Not bad but I constantly struggled with making the perfect espresso with crema. It never happened for me. Not saying I wasn’t doing things wrong but it truly is an art that as an artist I have to use my talent elsewhere. Sooo, I got fed up and bought the Dinamica by DeLonghi . I did some research and decided this was the one and took a leap of faith. An amazing machine! Does everything I need it to do, including the perfect espresso with the crema! Are there fancier machines? Yes. But this one has great value for the money, works perfectly, and offers variety and selection of different types of coffees. Cleaning up is easy, water filling is easy, operation is easy. The machine basically tells you what to do and does it at the press of a button. Noise is not bad and my cats have gotten used to it. It actually looks elegant too which was also important to me. It fresh grinds every cup and adds the perfect amount that you can set up. I am actually thrilled with this machine! I’ve had it for about a month and so far so good. It’s like having a bit of Italy in your own kitchen!

So, the first one we ordered had a power switch that wouldn't stay engaged and we had to hold it in to test the machine. I liked it enough to return it and reorder a second one which has no issues. The machine has been working great. It heats up quickly and makes great coffee. I have the grind setting set on 3 which is fine, but not too fine since I already know from previous espresso machines that too fine a grind will prevent water to flow through. The default temperature is perfect for me, but apparently you can adjust this if you want hotter or cooler coffee. The amount of beans ground per serving can also be adjusted according to your preference. Heating between cups is super quick - by the time you get the next cup on the machine, it's ready to brew again. The steam wand also dispenses hot water for americanos. I don't use it to steam milk much, but if I did I might wish it was a bit more versatile. It will swivel left and right, but it's tucked fairly close to the machine, so maybe not too comfortable if you steam a lot of milk. I used to use a Keurig in the mornings because it made my morning routine so quick and simple, but I've retired it now because this machine heats up faster, brewing is easier - I don't even have to mess with the K-cups! Just press the button! Morning routine doesn't get simpler than that. No more plastic K-cups going in the trash and the best part is I can use higher quality coffee beans at a fraction of the price of K-cups! If this machine lasts a year and a half, it will have paid for itself in savings over the K-cups. We only have two complaints after about a month of use (Small complaints). One is that when you run out of beans, the last cup where there are still a few beans left in the hopper will brew as usual which will give you a very weak cup. If you're standing right there, you will notice the grinder whirring without beans, so you will know dump the watery cup. Once the grinder is completely empty it will prompt you to refill the beans before it will brew again, so that's good. The only other complaint is the color (white) - my wife hates it! I was a little taken aback by it but it's grown on me. It's a little like the pearl white you would often see on Cadillac Escalades, so I guess they were going for that luxury feel, but it just stands apart in our white kitchen a little. I know - first world problems right?!

This coffee, espresso maker is incredible! So easy to use and makes coffee and espresso better than anything out there you can buy! I bought it right before COVID-19 and this was perfect timing. There is no reason for me to ever go out and purchase coffee again. Not sure if it is the machine or the fact that it grinds the beans, but after having fresh ground bean coffee every morning, I will never go back. The only downside I feel is that the wand frother does not get the milk as foamy as I like it so I purchased a small frother, which you can see in the picture to the right of the machine, and it works great. I took my KEURIG to the dumpster and will never go back to KEURIG cup coffee again! I realize it is expensive, but well worth the money. I have had this coffee maker now for 4 months and it has more than paid for itself in ZERO trips to coffee shops!

Dieser De'Longhi Dinamica ECAM 350.75.S Kaffeevollautomat ist Spitzenklasse. Der Kaffee schmeckt stets frisch nach Kaffee (was bei anderen Kaffeevollautomaten nicht immer der Fall war!) und das Reinigungssystem, besonders das Milchsystem, wird separat tiptop gereinigt und ist hygienisch sehr sehr sauber, weil die Milch nicht durch die ganzen Brühschläuche läuft, wie bei anderen Maschinen! Alles ist sehr gut zugänglich, der Wasserbehälter wird nach vorne entnommen und selbst die Brühgruppe, die man seitlich herausnehmen muss ist spitzenmäßig durchdacht. Unsere zuvor gekaufte, und deutlich teurere Melitta-Maschine, »Melitta Caffeo Barista TS Smart F850-102«, hatte uns leider immer wieder verschiedene Probleme bereitet (selbst Melitta hat uns dabei nicht helfen können), so dass Amazon zum Glück eine Rückgabe ermöglichte! (Dafür noch einmal vielen Dank an Amazon!!!) Zumal, wie wir erfuhren, bildet die Melitta hinter dem Blech der Brühgruppe, wo man leider nicht zum Reinigen hinkommt, Schimmel! Prost Kaffee! Mit dem Kauf des De'Longhi Dinamica ECAM 350.75.S Kaffeevollautomaten sind wir dagegen nun sehr zufrieden und wir denken, dass es so bleibt! Was sich bislang voll und ganz bestätigte! Daher nun nach einiger Zeit der Nutzung, eine klare Kaufempfehlung mit 5 Sternen! Den Kauf dieses Vollautomaten muss sicher niemand bereuen. Der De'Longhi Dinamica ECAM 350.75.S Kaffeevollautomat ist äusserst übersichtlich zu bedienen, ohne groß die Anleitung bemühen zu müssen. Die Menge des zu mahlenden Kaffees, und damit den persönlichen Geschmack bestimmend, kann man einfach durch eine Auswahl der Bohnenanzahl von 1 - 5 per Knopfdruck am Bedientableau eingeben, so dass sich jeder nach seinem Geschmack seinen eigenen Kaffee in gewünschter Stärke kreieren kann. Der Automat sagt einem zudem alle notwendigen Schritte, wie, "Wassertank füllen", "Satzbehälter leeren" oder "Bohnenbehälter auffüllen", so dass man nichts dergleichen kontrollieren muss. Wir hatten bereits mehrere Kaffeevollautomaten, aber dieser hat uns bis jetzt am Meisten überzeugt. Und gerade weil er so überzeugt, werden wir auch in Zukunft, wenn mal wieder ein neues Gerät benötigt würde, unbedingt wieder einen De'Longhi Kaffeevollautomaten kaufen. Noch zu erwähnen ist, dass das Gerät nicht so klobig wie viele andere Maschinen ist und damit wenig Platz in der Küche benötigt. Alles in allem von De'Longhi! sehr gut durchdacht!

1 Year Update: This machine is still churning out 2-4 coffee's every day without fault and has been an outstanding purchase. I stand by my original review and rating. Original Review: I spent ages looking at various manufacturers coffee machines. I wanted an automatic bean to cup machine, which also steamed the milk. I'd had a manual Delonghi previously and it had lasted years of daily use. This machine is everything I wanted. I've used this machine every for 3 months now, sometime twice a day. The coffee just seems to get better and it definitely takes a week to bed in and get the settings how you want them such as the grind setting. More expensive models don't seem to offer much more for the money and despite the information on Deloghi's website, this machine does produce just as many coffee options. The only exception being a flat white, but you could do this manually if you wanted. Pros - Looks great - Easy to set-up - Quick to start-up - Easy to use - most drinks are one-touch, 2 drinks are easy to make, mymenu allows your personal favourite to be one touch away. - Quick to produce the drink of your choice - Easy access to the water tank and bean hopper - Produces excellent espresso - The milk frother is easy to use/clean and produces rich dense foam at its max setting - Drinks are perfectly hot on the default setting, but if you want hotter then there is a temp. control setting to increase this - Reliable operation (I've yet to have a problem after 300+ lattes) - Programming is easy to set the quantity of each ingredient - Easy to maintain (everything is automated, including the warnings for a full drip tray etc.) - Makes just as many drink options as the higher-end models, despite not being advertised - Comes with a water filter and decalk bottle, which will get you started for the first few months Cons - Sometimes says the grounds hopper needs emptying when it's only half full. Doesn't happen often and it's easy to empty - Quite a long machine, not really an issue, but might be for a short kitchen surface and anything above it may restrict access to the bean hopper - The water tank could be a little bigger, it will produce 4-6 drinks between refills. Not a massive issue and it's easy to fill. Besides a larger tank would mean a larger machine.

I had a gaggia fully automatic espresso machine before. Loved it!!!! Until it died after 11 years. I reordered the same model and when I received it, it was USED! The paper in the box said it may have grounds in it due t testing - okay... but what about the worn button??? I was disgusted that they tried to resell a used machine and pass it off as new. Anyways, I digress. So, after returning the machine, I ordered this one. Sometimes things happen in life so you can experience better things. This is a great machine!!!! From first impressions (the packaging) I knew this was a superior product. It was not placed inside another huge box. It was a box that was slipped OVER the box of the manufacturer! No need for extra extra packaging in a gigantic box. That impressed me. Coffee: comes out way hotter than the gaggia. Myself, I brew regular coffee in my machine, not espresso. That being said, I have yet to find the setting to brew a full cup of coffee. First world problems. To empty the used pucks is easy to empty and it reminds you to also empty the water tray as it comes out all together. A bonus for people that forget to empty the tray and then it overflows all over the counter. So far,2 weeks in, I am very happy with my purchase! The coffee is good and the design is AWESOME! The engineers, from the machine to the packaging, thought about everything. Now, I hope it lasts as long as my gaggia.

il nous a fallu 1 bonne semaine pour trouver les réglages qui conviennent à nos gouts et le qualité du café en grains a un très gros impact sur le gout final également. Je pense que cette machine s'adresse surtout aux fan de Cafe Latte et autre Cappuccino. La mousse de lait est top. Pour ceux qui ne veulent que des expressos et ristretto il doit y avoir moins onéreux.
