Ol’ Bessie our loyal trusty microwave Works like new again!
Ol’ Bessie our loyal trusty 15 year old microwave is back in service and working like new again. We hated to think we’d have to part with our favorite old stand-by “daily driver” microwave. We bought a good model Magic Chef and had no complaints until it made a funny noise and quit running. We opened the back and found a blown fuse. When the fuse was replaced, the lights came on until the microwave was turned on to “cook” then microwave made the same funny sound and the fuse blew again. Easy replacement process, and you can find many DIY videos on YouTube about how to replace your capacitor. Cheap, easy fix! Plug-and-Play Would definitely buy again!

GE microwaves require 1/4" Pins
FYI - GE microwaves require a capacitor with 1/4" pins... not 3/16.

A good replacement; no problems
Not much to say but if you MW blew the main fuse you might look at the cap and diode and test if you know how. If you don't, stay out of there. But this and a new diode plus fuse got my expensive MW going. Don't open the M door when running to stop it. That's hard on these components and the door switches/relays.

Worked great
It fixed the microwave problem. You can tell if they are bad if they are puffed out or bulging at the top, which is a sign a capacitor is bad. And they pop the fuse when they go bad.

This was the replacement part needed for the built in microwave that kept blowing its internal fuse. It's for the microwaves used in my swift caravan . So far so good.
