Simple but effective .
For all experienced bakers and pastry chefs , i doubt this would be of much use. However for those of us less gifted at determining the the thickness of our pie/flan bases and crusts, this works just fine . The addition of spacers of varying thickness that can be added on to the end of the rolling pin means that even the clumsiest of us can get the depth just right.Just need someone to invent the automatic rolling pin

Saves time, money and an essential kitchen tool you will regret not owning
I bought this thinking , novelty and wouldn't improve my catering but it did. Works great and I had to ask myseywhy these were not around 50 years ago. Great value, easy to use, time saving . Excellent quality too

It does what I bought it for
It’s not as sturdy as I expected but I bought it to make sure all my pastry mostly biscuits were same thickness. It does the job without me having to keep stopping and checking it. Happy with purchase
