Vasque Men's Breeze 2.0 Low Hiking Shoe

I bought these in 12 Wide even though I normally wear a 12 Medium because my experience in the past has been that they tend to be narrower than all my other shoes.... The 12 Wide fit perfect. I wore these shoes every day - all day, while roaming thru Lake Clark and Denali National Parks in Alaska for almost three weeks. They are very comfortable and have good heel support so I also wear them if I'm going to be driving for a couple of hours in the car.

I have many Vasque shoes, and this was the first one that wasn't true to size. I ordered a 13, it was labeled a 13, but it fit like a 12, at most. Too bad - really nice looking shoe, but not available in my size. I'm disappointed that Vasque, my go-to brand, isn't living up to its reputation at this point.

The $137 pair I tried on locally had a gusseted tongue, but these did not; maybe that's the sacrifice when paying CONSIDERABLY less. Not really something worth returning & complaining. I thought it stunk, but love my new shoes!

I walked in the shoes a few times prior to going on a hiking trip in Montana. The fit was good and they were comfortable. I took them on vacation and went out for my first 10 mile hike and we started through a field with dew on the grass. The shoes were soaking wet in minutes. Not only did they not repel water, but they seemed to actually absorb it. I mean my feet were drenched from the start. I drove two hours round trip to replace them that evening. Maybe my particular shoes accidentally skipped the water repelant process in the factory, but they were just awful.

This shoe was returned as its was much smaller than labeled by about a half size.

Real good hiking shoe, high quality materials and workmanship. Been using them on flat semi paved hikes, time will tell in deep woods, mountain style hikes. Pretty sure they will be fine. Backpacker Magazine rated them very high so I am confident all will be o.k.

I've owned several Vasque shoes and boots. I like to buy a half size larger (US) because they fit me better, not too small.. Well built products!

Not my first Vasque hiking footwear, but they are my first low tops. I usually wear 10.5 shoes but bought these as 11. I wear heavy wick-dry wool socks when I hike so the hiking shoes fit perfectly. Thanks again for a good purchase and price.
