Good nutrition for older cats. Expensive,,, so I shop around for best price

We started feeding a stray cat during a severe winter storm, and after checking with experts in organizations dedicated to animal care, we committed to feeding it on an ongoing basis. Wow, the improvement in this cat's skin and fur and eyes and energy is something to behold! Within a month, his skin problems were well on the way to healing, and his coat began thickening up. His eyes looked brighter and more alert, and he walked with more energy. A few months in, he is unrecognizable as the mangy, sickly stray who first arrived! The cat was an excellent hunter, and was not going hungry before we started feeding him, but the nutritional mix he gets from Science Diet 7+ has worked wonders -- better than what nature provided. Our neighbors' cat started spending her days on our deck while our neighbors were out of town -- (reclaiming "her" territory from the stray, perhaps?) -- and, with her humans' permission, we started feeding our neighbor cat small treats of Science Diet, as well. This cat is well loved and cared for by her humans, but even her fur showed a noticeable improvement within a few weeks, becoming softer and thicker. I noticed a change, but didn't comment aloud about it. Apparently, my son noticed the difference as well, and said so, and I had to concur. Her coat now is so thick and luxuriant -- greatly improved since the change from better brands found in the grocery store -- and she obviously LOVES the flavor of the Science Diet. Cat food is cat food is cat food, right? NO!

This is apparently a quality catfood and my cats like it pretty well. It comes in SEVERAL different forms depending on the cat age-range. My main cats, who are almost 20, don't like the "11+ year-old" one and instead prefer the "1-6 year-old" one. Irritatingly, they NEVER tell you how the various age-group formulations are different from each other; you're left to figure it out on your own. Seems all catfood companies are the same in this regard.

I’ve been getting this brand for years and never had a single problem. This is the only way to review the product and report a problem because it’s not eligible for return. I want to let Amazon know the bag was slit open and about a pint of dry cat food spilled into the box with other items from my delivery. Not a huge deal. Sure I wonder about freshness but can’t really do anything about it. I’m all out and need the cat food now so just hoping no one tampered with the product or at the very least my cat’s nose will scrutinize a potential problem. A great brand though. Always been happy with it.

Only food my 8 year old cat will eat and not throw up. Not a bad price either. Have tried many foods before I found this one.
